Basket Risk Planner MT5

Basket Risk Planner MT5 is a chart-based utility for monitoring and planning existing MetaTrader 5 position baskets. It does not generate trading signals and it does not open or add trades.

Attach it to the chart of the symbol whose positions you want to review. The panel updates with current market quotes and presents the basket in account currency.

What the utility shows

Basket Risk Planner MT5 displays the current position count, floating profit/loss and estimated net basket result. Open positions are separated into BUY and SELL sides, which makes hedge-account exposure easier to understand.

For each side, the panel shows:

- Number of positions and total volume
- Volume-weighted average entry price
- Current net result
- Break-even price
- Estimated price required to reach the configured basket target

The target is entered in the account currency. For example, a target of 100 means that the panel estimates the price at which the selected BUY side or SELL side would reach approximately +100 in the deposit currency.

Net result and fee estimate

The utility uses the profit and swap values reported by MetaTrader 5 for open positions. When entry-deal commission information is available in the account history, it also includes observed entry fees and estimates an equivalent exit fee for the current open volume.

The fee values are estimates. Brokers can use different commission schedules, rebates, swaps, symbol specifications and account-level charges. Basket Risk Planner MT5 therefore displays the estimate transparently and does not require the user to manually enter a broker commission value.

Stress scenario

The stress section estimates how the current basket would react to an adverse movement entered in points. It displays separate DOWN and UP results.

The scenario uses current bid and ask prices and keeps the current spread constant while shifting the market. It is a planning calculation, not a prediction of future prices, liquidity, spread, slippage or execution conditions.

Risk room and alerts

An optional personal basket loss limit can be set in account currency. When enabled, the panel shows the remaining risk room based on the current net basket result.

Optional alerts can be configured for:

- Basket loss amount
- Number of managed positions
- Total managed volume

Popup alerts can be enabled or disabled. Alerts are informational and do not place orders.

Simulation and margin planning

The simulated extra-volume setting allows the trader to review a possible additional lot size without placing any order. The panel shows estimated break-even values for an added BUY or SELL position and the estimated standalone margin for the additional volume.

No order is placed by the simulation. Actual required margin can differ because it depends on broker settings, leverage, hedging rules, current quotes and account conditions.

Basket scope

The utility can manage positions using the following filters:

- Chart symbol or a manually specified symbol
- Magic number
- Text contained in the position comment

This makes it possible to monitor a specific manual basket, a strategy basket identified by a magic number, or positions marked with a chosen comment.

Optional protection

Automatic protection is disabled by default.

If deliberately enabled by the user, the utility can close the selected managed basket when a configured profit amount or emergency loss amount is reached. These functions act only on positions matching the active symbol, magic-number and comment filters.

The on-chart panel also includes a Pause button and a two-step emergency close action. Review the active filters carefully before enabling any automatic close function.

How to use

1. Attach Basket Risk Planner MT5 to a chart.
2. Select the symbol, magic number and comment filters if required.
3. Set a basket target in account currency.
4. Optionally set a stress movement, simulated additional volume, personal loss limit and alerts.
5. Review the live panel before making a trading decision.
6. Keep automatic protection disabled unless you intend the utility to close the selected basket.

Basket Risk Planner MT5 is a planning and monitoring utility. It does not guarantee results and it cannot predict market movement. Calculations depend on broker quotes, symbol contract specifications, trading conditions and the account data available in MetaTrader 5.
