### Gold Hedge Algotraders24: trend entries, ATR-based stops, optional hedge protection.

**Gold Hedge Algotraders24** is a rule-based Expert Advisor for **XAUUSD (Gold)** on MetaTrader 5. It waits for a confirmed trend setup, enters at market with a stop loss and take profit, and manages the trade with a trailing stop and daily risk limits.

It does not trade every day. If the trend, momentum and candle conditions do not line up, it stays out.



### How it decides to trade

- **Trend filter:** price must be on the right side of the 100 SMA.
- **Direction filter:** the 20 SMA must be above (buy) or below (sell) the 50 SMA with a minimum gap measured in ATR.
- **Momentum filter:** RSI must confirm (above 55 for buys, below 45 for sells).
- **Candle filter:** the last closed candle must have a strong body and close near its high (buy) or low (sell).
- **Cooldown:** a set number of bars must pass between entries.

Every trade is sent with a broker-side stop loss and take profit. Buy only, sell only or both directions can be selected.

### Risk management

- **Stop loss and take profit:** ATR-based (adapts to gold volatility) or fixed points.
- **Trailing stop:** starts after a set profit and follows price. Hidden SL, TP and trailing modes are optional.
- **Lot size:** fixed lot, or a percentage of balance calculated from the real stop distance.
- **Daily profit target and daily drawdown limit:** trading stops for the day when either is hit.
- **Max trades per day, spread filter and session filter** (Asian, London, New York, in broker time).
- **Force close:** closes all EA positions when total floating profit reaches your target.

### Smart Hedge (optional, hedging accounts only)

When Aggressive Mode is on and a basket of same-direction trades reaches a floating loss, the EA can open one opposite position of equal size to freeze the loss. The trigger scales with basket size. It is not used on netting accounts.

### Please read before you buy

- **Aggressive Mode** allows several positions in the same direction (up to your set maximum). This raises both profit potential and drawdown.
- **Recovery Mode** (off by default) increases lot size after consecutive losses. This is a martingale-style method and carries high risk. Leave it off unless you fully understand it.
- The stop loss stays on every trade as a broker-side backstop.
- Back-test results are not a promise of live results. Test on a demo account first.

### Set up in three steps

1. In MT4 open Tools > Options > Expert Advisors and tick **Allow algorithmic trading**.
2. Attach the EA to a **XAUUSD** chart.
3. Choose **fixed lot or risk %**. The other defaults are ready to use.

The panel on the chart shows daily profit and loss, open positions, hedge status and the current session.
