Kiwi Gold Bot MT4
Kiwi Gold Bot MT4 is an automated Expert Advisor developed for trading XAUUSD on MetaTrader 4.
The EA analyses market conditions, opens and manages positions according to its configured rules, and includes controls for position limits, spread, trading sessions, portfolio profit and daily drawdown.
Recommended setup
- Platform: MetaTrader 4
- Primary instrument: XAUUSD / Gold
- Default chart timeframe: M5
- Account type: Hedging

Trading process
Kiwi Gold Bot follows a structured operating sequence:
- Analyse current market conditions.
- Check the selected trading session.
- Check the current spread and trading permissions.
- Confirm that the maximum-position limit has not been reached.
- Open an eligible position when the entry conditions are satisfied.
- Manage open positions using the configured exit rules.
- Pause or close managed trading activity when an enabled protection condition is triggered.
Entry filtering can reduce some trading activity, but it cannot predict every adverse market movement or guarantee profitable trades.
Automatic position management
Each position is monitored according to the active trade-management settings.
The EA can also evaluate the combined floating result of its managed positions. This allows portfolio-level controls to operate across positions associated with the EA rather than relying only on the result of a single trade.
A position may remain open while waiting for its programmed exit condition. During this time, it can be affected by spread, swap, commission and changing market conditions.
Fixed lot size
The Fixed Lot setting defines the requested volume for new positions.
A smaller lot generally produces smaller profit and loss changes for the same price movement. The final trading volume remains subject to:
- Broker minimum lot
- Broker maximum lot
- Lot step
- Available margin
- Symbol trading restrictions
An appropriate lot size depends on account balance, leverage, Gold contract size and personal risk tolerance.
Maximum positions
The Maximum Positions setting limits the number of simultaneous positions the EA is permitted to manage or open according to its programmed rules.
This setting limits position count. It does not define a guaranteed maximum financial loss. Total risk also depends on position volume, entry prices, market movement, leverage and exit behaviour.
Portfolio profit target
The Portfolio Profit Target monitors the combined floating result of positions managed by the EA.
When the configured target and activation conditions are reached, the EA attempts to close the applicable managed positions.
The final realised result may differ from the displayed floating target because of:
- Spread
- Commission
- Swap
- Slippage
- Requotes
- Price movement during closure
- Broker execution time
A portfolio target is an exit-management function and does not guarantee that every trading cycle will finish profitably.
Daily drawdown protection
When enabled, the EA monitors daily drawdown according to its programmed calculation.
If the configured limit is reached, the EA can:
- Attempt to close its managed positions
- Remove applicable managed pending orders
- Suspend new trading
- Wait until the next trading day before resuming
The daily period follows the time reference used by the EA and MetaTrader platform.
Drawdown protection does not guarantee that the final loss will equal or remain below the selected percentage. Price gaps, rapid market movement, slippage, commissions, swaps and execution delays may cause the realised loss to exceed the configured threshold.
Spread protection
The spread filter can prevent new entries when the current XAUUSD spread is above the configured maximum.
Gold spreads can expand during:
- Economic news
- Daily rollover
- Trading-session transitions
- Low-liquidity periods
- Rapid market movement
Spread protection can block some new entries. It cannot control the execution conditions of positions that are already open.
Spread values should be checked in broker points because XAUUSD digits and point sizes vary.
Trading-session filter
The session filter allows new trading activity to be restricted to configured market hours.
The filter controls entry activity according to the EA settings. It does not necessarily close existing positions when a session ends.
Trading times should be checked against the broker’s server time, especially when daylight-saving time changes.
Dashboard
The on-chart dashboard can display information such as:
- Current EA status
- Active trading mode
- Managed open positions
- Floating profit or loss
- Portfolio information
- Trading-session status
- Protection status
- Account information
The dashboard is informational and does not change broker execution.
Main configurable settings
Users can review and adjust settings such as:
- Fixed lot size
- Maximum positions
- Portfolio profit target
- Daily drawdown limit
- Maximum spread
- Trading sessions
- Position-management options
- Magic number
- Dashboard display
The supplied default settings are a starting configuration. They should not be assumed suitable for every broker, account size or market condition.
Installation
- Install Kiwi Gold Bot MT4 through the MetaTrader Market.
- Open the broker’s XAUUSD M5 chart.
- Attach the EA to the chart.
- Select “Allow live trading” in the EA settings.
- Enable AutoTrading in MetaTrader 4.
- Review the lot, position-limit, spread and drawdown settings.
- Use a unique magic number if other EAs or instances are trading on the same account.
- Keep the MetaTrader terminal connected while the EA is operating.
- Test the intended configuration before considering live use.
Testing considerations
Strategy Tester results depend on:
- Historical-data quality
- MT4 modelling method
- Testing timeframe
- XAUUSD contract specification
- Spread assumptions
- Commission and swap
- Initial deposit and leverage
- Selected input settings
MetaTrader 4 historical tests may not reproduce every tick or live execution condition. Testing should use data and trading costs that resemble the intended broker where possible.
Important risk information
XAUUSD can experience rapid movement, price gaps and significant spread expansion. Automated controls cannot eliminate these risks.
Portfolio targets, position limits, spread filters and daily drawdown protection do not guarantee profit or a fixed maximum loss. Terminal disconnection, technical failures and broker execution conditions can also affect operation.
Backtests, optimisations and historical performance do not guarantee future results. Users remain responsible for selecting an appropriate account size, lot size and risk configuration.
