MQT Lot Size Calculator MT5

MQT Lot Size Calculator computes the exact lot size for the risk you choose — a percent of your equity or a fixed money amount — using three draggable lines on your chart: Entry, Stop Loss and Take Profit. Free, lightweight, calculation only: it never opens, modifies or closes trades.

How it works (logic summary):

  1. Direction is inferred from where you place the SL line (below entry = long, above = short).
  2. Risk money = equity × risk % (or your fixed amount).
  3. Loss per lot = SL distance ÷ tick size × tick value.
  4. Lot size = risk money ÷ loss per lot, always rounded down to your broker's volume step — the tool never risks more than you configured.

The panel shows: direction, entry/SL/TP prices and distances in points, risk in your account currency, the computed lot size, the actual risk after rounding, reward:risk ratio, potential profit at TP, and the margin required (with a warning if it exceeds your free margin).

Notes:

  • This is a calculator only. It never opens, modifies or closes trades.
  • Works on any symbol and account currency (uses the broker's tick data).
  • Lightweight: native chart objects, no DLLs, no internet access.
