AUDCAD PEACE — AUDCAD M5 Mean-Reversion Averaging Grid
IMPORTANT RISK WARNING: This is an averaging (grid / martingale-style) EA. It adds to a losing basket and closes the whole basket at a profit target. This approach can show long winning streaks and then a single large drawdown. Use ONLY risk capital you can afford to lose, withdraw profits regularly, and run it with a hard equity protection. A grid EA can lose a large part of the account in adverse, trending conditions.
AUDCAD PEACE is an automated mean-reversion system for AUDCAD on the M5 timeframe. AUDCAD is a historically range-bound, commodity-correlated pair, which is why a disciplined mean-reversion approach has an edge on it. The EA opens an initial position against a short-term extreme, adds layered positions if price moves further against the basket, and closes the entire basket once the combined position reaches its profit target.
HOW IT WORKS
1) Entry — short-term mean reversion
The EA measures a short-term extreme (configurable entry logic, e.g. band / ADX context) and opens an initial position expecting price to revert toward its mean.
2) Averaging layers (the grid)
If price continues against the basket by a configured distance, the EA adds further positions at intervals, lowering the average entry price. The number of layers and the spacing are configurable. This is the source of both the high win rate and the tail risk.
3) Basket take-profit
The whole basket is closed when the combined floating profit reaches the target. Because later layers lower the average price, a modest reversion closes the basket in profit.
4) Protection
A free-margin check is performed before every order, so the EA will not send an order it cannot afford. You should additionally configure the built-in safety guard (emergency close on margin level, daily-loss and weekend rules) for live use.
Position sizing is computed from the symbol specification, so the EA adapts to any broker's AUDCAD contract.
REAL MT5 BACKTEST (Exness AUDCAD, M5, every-tick, $10,000)
- Profit factor: 1.32
- Maximum drawdown: about 24 percent
- Annual return: about +21 percent
- Win rate: about 64 percent
- Trades: more than 22,000
A 24 percent backtest drawdown on a grid EA means real adverse conditions can be worse. Backtest results are historical and do not guarantee future performance.
INPUTS (key)
- InitialLot / LotPerDeposit — base lot and balance-scaled sizing
- Entry mode and threshold — how the initial mean-reversion entry is detected
- Nanpin (averaging) step distance and maximum layers
- Basket take-profit target
- RunMode (Defensive / Standard / Aggressive) — scales risk
- Safety guard: emergency margin level, daily loss limit, weekend close
WHO IT IS FOR
AUDCAD PEACE is for experienced traders who understand grid / averaging risk, run it on AUDCAD M5 with a sensible account size, withdraw profits, and accept that a grid can suffer a large drawdown in a strong trend. It is NOT a set-and-forget low-risk system. Start on a demo account and confirm behaviour with your broker before any live use, with money you can afford to lose.
