Strategy Overview
Viking Alpha DAX uses three independent entry types that work together to maximize coverage across different market conditions:
Type 1 — Volume Momentum Enters at Frankfurt opening when volume confirms a clear directional move. Requires price above VWAP, strong volume vs. average, and candle breakout confirmation.
Type 2 — Filtered Momentum Similar logic to Type 1 but with relaxed volume requirements, allowing participation in slightly weaker but still valid moves.
Type 3 — FKT Breakout (Frankfurt Opening Trigger) The most unique feature of Viking Alpha DAX. Monitors the N candles after the Frankfurt session open, locks the highest high and lowest low of that reference window, then waits for confirmation candles after the open. If price breaks the reference range — it fires. This catches the delayed confirmation trades that Type 1 and Type 2 miss.
The result: full coverage of the Frankfurt opening — obvious moves enter fast (Type 1/2), uncertain moves get a second chance (Type 3).
