Currency Strength Heatmap MT4 compares EUR, USD, GBP, JPY, CHF, CAD, AUD, and NZD across the 28 major FX crosses on the current chart timeframe. It turns relative currency movement into clean strength lines so traders can quickly see strong-versus-weak themes.
Use cases
- Find strong and weak currencies before choosing a pair.
- Confirm trend trades with broad FX strength alignment.
- Spot rotation when a currency moves from weak to strong or strong to weak.
- Feed EAs, dashboards, and scanners with strongest, weakest, and spread buffers.
What it shows
- Separate strength lines for EUR, USD, GBP, JPY, CHF, CAD, AUD, and NZD.
- Positive strength when a currency is outperforming its cross basket.
- Negative strength when a currency is underperforming its cross basket.
- Hidden strongest-currency, weakest-currency, and strength-spread buffers.

Basic use
- Add the indicator to a liquid FX chart.
- Set broker prefix or suffix if your broker uses modified symbol names.
- Look for a clear gap between strong and weak currency lines.
- Use your own trend, structure, session, entry, and risk rules before trading.
Inputs
- InpLookbackBars: bars used for each pair's percentage move.
- InpMaxBarsToCalculate: historical bars calculated on load.
- InpSymbolPrefix: optional text before the pair name.
- InpSymbolSuffix: optional text after the pair name.
- InpSignalThreshold: minimum spread required before strongest and weakest buffers output a signal.
Buffers for EA integration
- Buffers 0-7: EUR, USD, GBP, JPY, CHF, CAD, AUD, and NZD strength values.
- Buffer 8: strongest currency index, 0 EUR, 1 USD, 2 GBP, 3 JPY, 4 CHF, 5 CAD, 6 AUD, 7 NZD.
- Buffer 9: weakest currency index using the same index map.
- Buffer 10: current strength spread between strongest and weakest currencies.
