FVG Imbalance Zones is a free MT4 chart indicator that automatically marks bullish and bearish fair value gap zones.

It scans three-candle price imbalances, filters out small gaps, and manages zones as price interacts with them.

Use it to spot:

• Bullish fair value gaps where buyers created a fast move up.
• Bearish fair value gaps where sellers created a fast move down.
• Unmitigated and partially filled imbalance zones that may be useful for price-action review.
• Cleaner Smart Money / ICT-style chart markup without drawing zones manually.

What It Shows

• Bullish FVG rectangles on the chart.
• Bearish FVG rectangles on the chart.
• Optional mitigated zones.
• Merged or resized zones when the related inputs are enabled.
• Hidden midpoint buffers for EA or strategy integration.

Main Features

• Automatic three-candle fair value gap detection.
• Minimum gap size filter in points to remove tiny imbalances.
• Optional merging for overlapping or nearby same-direction zones.
• Optional resizing when price partially fills a zone, leaving only the unfilled part visible.
• Optional deletion when price fully fills a zone.
• Limit for how many historical bars are scanned.
• Limit for how many bullish and bearish zones are displayed.
• Optional display of already mitigated zones.
• Custom bullish and bearish zone colors.

Basic Use

1. Add the indicator to an MT4 chart.
2. Review the bullish and bearish imbalance zones.
3. Watch whether price returns to a zone, partially fills it, or fully fills it.
4. Filter zones using your own trend, session, market structure, and risk rules.

Inputs

• MaxBarsToScan: limits how far back the indicator scans.
• ExtendBars: controls how far active zones extend to the right.
• MaxZonesPerSide: limits bullish and bearish zones on the chart.
• MinGapPoints: ignores small imbalances below this size.
• ShowMitigatedZones: shows fully filled zones when DeleteFilledZones is disabled.
• MergeOverlappingZones: combines overlapping same-direction zones.
• MergeGapPoints: allows nearby same-direction zones to merge when the distance is within this many points.
• ResizePartiallyFilledZones: shrinks a zone to the unfilled part after a partial return into the gap.
• DeleteFilledZones: removes zones once price fully fills them.
• BullishZoneColor: sets bullish zone color.
• BearishZoneColor: sets bearish zone color.

Buffers

• Buffer 0: bullish FVG midpoint.
• Buffer 1: bearish FVG midpoint.
