Gold Reacher
A fully automatic grid trading robot for MetaTrader 5. Attach it to a chart, set your target, and it handles the rest.
Gold Reacher opens its own positions, manages them as a single basket, and closes that basket as a whole when your profit target in account currency is reached. Then it starts again on its own. There is nothing to press, nothing to confirm, and no chart watching required.
It is built for traders who want a hands off system with settings they actually understand, and who want to control their own exposure rather than trust a hidden formula.
Key features
- Completely automatic. It enters, manages and exits on its own, cycle after cycle, for as long as it is running.
- Live on-chart dashboard. A clean panel shows the state of the cycle, your exposure on both sides, progress toward the target, your account's margin level, and, most usefully, the exact price and the exact size of the next position before it is placed. No log reading required.
- Target in your currency, not in points. You set the profit target as a plain amount. The EA works to that number and closes everything together when it gets there.
- You control the exposure. Position size, spacing, growth rate and hard limits are all yours to set, from very conservative to very aggressive.
- Built in safety limits. A maximum position count and an emergency close level let you define in advance exactly how far a cycle is allowed to go.
- Restart safe. Terminal restart, chart reload, connection drop or a VPS reboot: the EA reads its own positions back from the account and carries on from where it was. Nothing is orphaned.
- Safe to run beside your other trading. It only ever touches positions carrying its own magic number and its own symbol. Your manual trades and your other robots are never affected.
- Never closes behind your back. Removing it from a chart or switching timeframe leaves your open positions exactly as they are. Closing is always your decision.
- Any symbol, any timeframe. Gold, currencies, indices, crypto. You choose the market and the spacing that suits it.
- Manual mode available. Prefer to close by hand? Switch automatic closing off and the EA will manage entries only.
- Fully transparent. Every entry, every close, every rejected order and a regular status summary are printed to the Experts log with the broker's reason. You can always see what it did and why it did it.
- Clean and lightweight. No DLL, no external files, no internet calls, no indicators to install. One file, and it runs comfortably on any VPS.
The dashboard
The panel sits in the top left corner of the chart, clear of the one-click trading buttons, and refreshes several times a second while a cycle is open. It is grouped so you can read it at a glance:

Matching lines are drawn on the chart itself at the cycle pivot, the next levels in both directions, and the basket breakeven, so the same information is visible against price. Both the panel and the lines can be switched off, and the panel does not draw during a backtest unless you run in visual mode.

Requirements

Recommended on a cent account
My own preference is to run this EA on a cent account, and the reason is practical.
The smallest position most brokers accept is 0.01 lots. On a standard account that is already a meaningful amount of exposure, which limits how much room the system has to work with. On a cent account the same 0.01 represents a small fraction of that exposure, so the account has far more depth available, and you can leave the starting size at the broker minimum instead of being pushed above it.
It also makes proper evaluation affordable. A grid system needs to be observed over many complete cycles, on live pricing, live spreads and real fills, including the uncomfortable ones. A cent account lets you do exactly that at a scale you can comfortably absorb.
The EA works the same on any account type. This is a recommendation about sizing your risk sensibly, not a technical restriction.
Before you run it
Test it yourself, on your own broker, using real tick data, with your real spread and commission, over a period long enough to include strong trending conditions and not only quiet ranges. Judge it by the drawdown it reaches, because with a grid system that is the number that matters. Lower quality tester models will not represent this type of EA fairly.
Important risk information
Please read this before purchasing.
- This is a grid system with a martingale element. Position size increases as the market moves against the basket. Growth is geometric, not linear.
- Individual positions do not carry a stop loss. The basket is closed as a whole, at the profit target, at your emergency cut off, or by you.
- A strong sustained trend is the hardest condition for this type of system, and it will happen.
- Set the emergency close level. It is off by default and it is the one control that ends a cycle before size becomes unmanageable.
- No past result predicts a future one. No setting and no test period tells you what the next period will do.
- Only use money you can afford to lose, and run it on demo or on a cent account first, for long enough to have seen it perform badly as well as well.
I make no claim that this EA is profitable, and no such claim should be read into anything above. It is a trading tool that carries out a defined set of rules automatically. Your choice of symbol, timeframe, settings and account size, and not the code, determines the result you get.
