Substantial Arrows est un indicateur technique développé pour MetaTrader 5 (MT5), basé sur une approche différente de l'identification des niveaux de support et de résistance (Support & Resistance).

Au lieu de s'appuyer uniquement sur les méthodes conventionnelles d'affichage des supports et résistances, Substantial Arrows utilise sa propre logique de traitement des niveaux de marché. Son objectif est d'aider le trader à identifier plus facilement les zones où le prix pourrait réagir ou effectuer un retest.

Cette approche du Support & Resistance a été développée et testée à plusieurs reprises par l'auteur, notamment sur Gold/XAUUSD en timeframe M15. Lors des tests réalisés par l'auteur, cette méthode a montré une très bonne précision dans l'identification des niveaux de prix importants.

Cependant, il est essentiel de comprendre qu'aucun niveau technique, indicateur ou signal ne peut prédire avec certitude les mouvements futurs du marché.

Plus qu'un simple indicateur de Support & Resistance

Substantial Arrows regroupe plusieurs outils d'analyse directement sur un même graphique.

Le panneau Market Trend permet de surveiller la direction du marché sur plusieurs timeframes. Il aide ainsi l'utilisateur à obtenir une vision plus globale du contexte du marché sans avoir à changer constamment de graphique.

La couleur des chandeliers évolue également automatiquement en fonction de la relation entre la Fast MA et la Slow MA configurées par l'utilisateur. Cela fournit une indication visuelle supplémentaire sur les conditions actuelles du marché sur le timeframe utilisé pour le trading.

Mais l'une des principales fonctionnalités de Substantial Arrows est Main Arrows.

Main Arrows n'a pas été conçu pour afficher un grand nombre de flèches sans sélection.

Une Main Arrow apparaît lorsque le prix effectue un retest répondant aux conditions sur l'un des niveaux de Support/Resistance affichés par l'indicateur, tout en respectant la direction du timeframe de tendance sélectionné ainsi que les conditions du filtre Moving Average.

La logique peut être résumée simplement :

Support/Resistance → Trend Filter → Retest → Main Arrow

L'objectif d'une Main Arrow n'est pas de prédire que le marché évoluera nécessairement dans une direction précise après son apparition.

Elle vise plutôt à aider le trader à identifier plus facilement des zones de retest potentiellement pertinentes et alignées avec la tendance actuelle.

Filtre Moving Average personnalisable

L'utilisateur peut configurer les moyennes mobiles utilisées comme filtre pour les Main Arrows.

Les paramètres personnalisables comprennent notamment :

  • Période de la Fast MA
  • Période de la Slow MA
  • Méthode de calcul de la MA
  • Applied Price
  • MA Shift

La configuration actuelle par défaut est :

Fast MA : EMA 34, Close
Slow MA : EMA 90, Close

Ces paramètres ne sont pas fixes et peuvent être adaptés à la méthode de trading de chaque utilisateur.

Substantial Arrows peut être utilisé sur différents marchés disponibles dans MetaTrader 5, ainsi que sur différents timeframes.

Cependant, l'environnement principal de développement et de test utilisé par l'auteur est :

L'indicateur a été testé à plusieurs reprises par l'auteur sur Gold/XAUUSD M15 au moyen de backtests et de forward tests.
