Interesting and humorous - page 211

After reading your dialogues, I decided to write a few lines about the current situation.

He who tells the truth wins in propaganda. I don't see the truth on either side. There is constant misrepresentation of the facts. Do you think that when people find out that they have been duped they will say thank you? When a single person dies, it's not worth it.

We need to be in the general interest. Find areas where almost everyone benefits. Only then is compromise and dialogue possible. There is one project that will benefit almost everyone. Instead of building a knowingly unprofitable bridge to the Crimea that will never pay for itself, let us be realistic.

So the project is the following high-speed highway from China to Europe, through Russia. The idea is not new. But, we need to make it clear to China, America and Europe that we have an opportunity to build either to the Crimea or to China-Russia-Europe. This is how we get those interested in resolving the Ukrainian conflict. Most of America and probably Europe's industries are in China. What we end up with:

Russia fabulous money for transit;

America, Europe; lower prices for their products, and therefore greater purchasing power, accelerating trade turnover by times, and therefore a faster payback. There are a lot of advantages. There is a difference waiting for the steamship to deliver in two months, or transport in a few days, and it's cheaper?

It is obvious, it will be profitable for everybody!

But there are nuances. The customs have to work very fast and the quality of roads should correspond to foreign technologies (break down as seldom as possible).

Forexman77:
what is an "expressway" - a motorway?

Yeah. I was just being clever. Just an expressway.

Forexman77:
Yes.

A few days' worth of road freight from China to Europe? Get over it. And it will be more expensive than by sea anyway.

A "container ship" goes by sea from China to Europe for about 2 weeks. Months arise due to container transshipment in transit ports (most often Hong Kong).

And China is ALREADY carrying out such a project, called "Great Silk Road", goes through Mongolia, Central Asia to Europe, China has so far invested $16.3 Billion in it.

As far as I know, it takes 2 months to reach Russia from China.

The container takes so long because of transhipment in Hong Kong or another transit port. If you have enough volume to charter a whole ship, it takes about 2 weeks to reach Europe from China

Containers in the westbound direction are almost all loaded by China to Hong Kong, and there they are stalled and packed onto ships depending on the port of destination. If China has all containers to the contracted port for an entire vessel, it goes without transhipment in Hong Kong

As for the cost, the steamship makes a detour around the continent to sail to Europe, so it will be a direct road.

) It is ALWAYS more expensive to get from China to Europe by road and rail than by sea.

And the part of China that is far from the coast is not as comfortable to take them to the coast and then to the steamboat. It's easier to go straight there.
