The OnTimer() function ... which is generated by the system timer only for Expert Advisors - it can't be used in scripts or indicators .

Every Expert Advisor, as well as every indicator works with its own timer and receives events only from it.

* why is it impossible to close the modal dialog - (by <F9> for example), as recommended by MicroSoft - with <ENTER> and <ESC> keys... or - at least with HotKey via alt+key... with the result...
* the presence of the status bar implies that it contains the necessary information... //that again about the dialogues too... instead of unnecessary...

I am trying to install an EA on a chart using Insert-Expert.
In the Journal:

To Experts:
2010.12.16 21:25:26 MQL5 'MMM.ex5' version is too old, it should be recompiled
MT5 and MT Editor versions 368.
At 21:56:24 on MT5 and MTEditor version 370 same thing.
Expert has no Input parameters in tester.
Expert is recompiled both now and in previous post.
Added a new Expert Advisor.
It is in the MetaTrader 5/ MQL5/Experts directory. Compiled by version 370.
It is not in terminal navigator. It is not present after the update.

everything... i can't download and install the terminal! after downloading mt5setup.exe nothing happens when i run it, i.e. terminal installation does not start. tried it on two machines.

I ran it on a laptop and a VPS and it took off!
I downloaded every time from the same place.
Sleep() does not work in EAs (not in tester).

If you use mt5setup.exe version 5.0.0.370 it doesn't start the installation process, which is what is now posted for download.
I have saved mt5setup.exe version 5.0.0.355 and it's ok!
