Anybody have any trades to post...I was unable to stay up for the London open so I did not place any trades.

non repainting FFB

I placed my first trade using the FFB (Forex Freedom Bars) in conjunction with MACD that I use from another system. I did notice that the FFB repaint badly, so I'm not sure how successful one can be with this method but that's why I'm using it in conjunction with MACD (like suggested in an earlier post) to help with the false signals caused by the repainting problem. So I had one trade for +50 pips on e/u. I do remember reading that someone tried to write the FFB again so they did not repaint as badly but I can't seem to find that post. If this is true, would someone be willing to point me in the right direction to find that updated indicator.

Also, are others still using this method of trading and finding it to be successful?

Edit: I found the post where the link was for the non-repainting FFB. Now let's hope that they really don't repaint. If they don't, I have a few ideas on what I want to work with to see what I can come up with.

This is a fun one.. only repaints as any mtf indicator does

if conditions change by the time the longer time frames close

great indicator with cool other options if you want to have

a ffbars for rsi or stoch as well for confirmation... its cool

to play with.

If you want to play with the other settings, put the standard

cci ffbars on your chart setting 2 cci and tf 5 15 30 60

and then you can add a second for testing the other settings

just make sure you change the unique number for any additional

ffbars added to your chart.

Thanks guys for continuing development. I'm still not sure why people worry about the repaint. If it signals on the M5, it signals. If it repaints, that was in the past, who cares? Just for those of you who don't believe, I am thinking about posting my 6000% increase in account size statement in 3 months, live traded (not demo).

suk1000k, may i know what indicators that you use, then you can got that's great performance?

is it only the Freeforex bar(original one) that you post at the first page?

you only trade GBP/USD for this indicator?

and may i know you exit rule? and the stop loss or take profit rule?

I am now use the FXFreedomBars_v3 which I found at this thread, is it same with yours?

because this version is no repaint problem.

I had found new combination between FFB & Real MACD with 90% accuration

setting :

Gap = original setting

Period1-4 = original setting

cci1-4 = 2

auto display = true

The Rules :

1. Wait & see for cross RealMACD

2. Look at the same colours FFB bars (don't think repaint)

3. It's only same colours FFB bars with crossed RealMACD

4. OP & put SL=30-40 pips with TP = 70-100 pips each trade

5. Dont Trade if you are not found nice combination

6. (I think) It's going to be more effective for GU & GJ (my experienced)

This rules maybe risk can't OP be often but have gains much more & safety too

your FFB_v3 is Good altough be better to using TF 5, 15, 30, 60 for best signal

for this moment I'm only using TF 5, 15, 30, 60 & crossed RealMACD coz it's better enough to gains more profit

anyone can tell different between "True" and "False" for the auto display?

Will i be able to do a reliable backtest base on this signal?

I would like to know if the indicators will change back to blue boxes after the candle closes. (repaint)

it will repaint cause Forex Freedom Bars is an MTF indicator; it has 5m, 15m, 30m and 1H TFs so 1H TF for example will repaint until 1H bar close etc.
