If the clipboard stops working when connecting via RDP to a VPS, here is a solution that allows you to fix it without restarting the VPS:
- Open the Task Manager on the remote computer using the shortcut Ctrl+Shift+Esc.
- Find "rdpclip.exe" or "RDP Clipboard Monitor" in the processes (under background processes) and click "End Task".
- In the upper-left corner of the Task Manager, click "File" → "Run new task" → type "rdpclip.exe", and click "OK".
