Asian Range Breakout ultime

Asian Range Breakout is an Expert Advisor for MetaTrader 5. It trades the first breakout of the overnight range, once per day, in either direction. It was designed for USDJPY on the M5 chart.
How it works
The Expert Advisor measures the high and low of the overnight range, by default from 00:00 to 08:00 London time. Between 08:00 and 13:00 London time, it buys when the price breaks above the range and sells when the price breaks below it. Only the first breakout of the day is considered.
The stop loss is placed on the opposite side of the range. There is no fixed take profit. Any open position is closed at 16:00 London time, so no position is held overnight.
Risk control
Position size is calculated from the distance to the stop loss and the risk percentage set by the user. The default risk is 0.75 percent of equity per trade. If the calculated size is below the minimum lot, the trade uses the minimum lot only when its risk stays within a limit set by the user. Otherwise the trade is skipped.
The Expert Advisor does not use martingale, grid or averaging. It opens one position per day at most.
Spread filter
An optional filter skips a breakout when the spread of the previous M5 bar is above 1.5 times its 60-day median. The filter is intended to avoid abnormal trading conditions. It does not guarantee a better result.
Main settings
Session: range start, range end, last entry and exit hours, in London time.
Broker clock: server GMT offset in winter, and whether the server follows US daylight saving.
Risk: risk per trade, use of the minimum lot, and the maximum risk allowed for the minimum lot.
Spread filter: on or off, maximum multiple, and median window.
Execution: magic number and maximum deviation.
Setup
1. Attach the Expert Advisor to a USDJPY chart.
2. Enable Algo Trading in MetaTrader 5.
3. Check the broker clock settings. The default values match a server at GMT+2 in winter and GMT+3 in summer. A wrong setting shifts the session hours.
4. Start on a demo account and compare the results with your own Strategy Tester report.
Limits
Most trading days do not produce a large move, so frequent small losses and long losing periods are normal for this type of system. Results depend on the broker, spread, commission and slippage. A backtest shows one past price history only. It is not a real trading result and does not predict future results. Trading involves a risk of loss.
