Indicator Signal Trader Kb turns the signals of an indicator you already use into trades. You choose the indicator and tell the program which buffer means Buy and which means Sell; the program opens and manages the positions. No programming.
Set up in four steps
- Attach the program to a chart and enter the indicator's name as it appears in the MQL5\Indicators folder, for example Examples\Fractals, and its inputs as a comma-separated list or nothing for its defaults.
- Read the panel on the chart: it shows what every buffer of the indicator holds - arrows, a line or a colour index - so you see which buffer carries the signal without reading any code.
- For Buy and for Sell choose the rule - an arrow appears, a buffer crosses a level, one buffer crosses another, or a colour changes - and the buffer number from the panel.
- Set the lot (fixed or risk % of balance), the stop loss and the take profit, then press OK.
Example
Signals of the built-in MACD only in the direction of the H4 trend: leave the indicator name empty and in Filter 1 enter Examples\Custom Moving Average with the inputs 200,0,1 and the timeframe H4, then "Allow Buy only when: Close price is above the buffer" and "Allow Sell only when: Close price is below the buffer". A signal the filter rejects is ignored, and the panel says which filter rejected it and what it saw.
Trading
Stop loss in points or as an ATR multiple, take profit in points or as a multiple of the stop. On an opposite signal the program can ignore it, close the position or reverse it. Break-even, trailing stop, maximum spread and a trading time window are available. Before every order it checks the lot limits, the minimum stop distance, free margin, the broker's order limit and the trading session, and the Last signal line on the panel shows what happened to every signal: opened, blocked by a filter, or not traded and why. Signals are read from the closed bar, so the Strategy Tester shows what happens on a live chart.
Limitations
The indicator must keep its signals in indicator buffers: indicators that only draw objects on the chart cannot be read. The program uses the signals of your indicator as they are and does not make an indicator profitable; check your settings in the Strategy Tester first.
