Rulekeeper is a professional risk-management utility for MetaTrader 5, built for prop-firm traders (FTMO, FundedNext, The5ers, Apex, Topstep and any ECN account). It removes the human factor: tilt, overtrading and accidental rule violations.
WHAT IT DOES
1. Daily Loss Limit — measures the day result from the balance at the close of the PREVIOUS trading day (configurable: day-start balance / day-start equity). When the limit is hit it closes all positions, removes pending orders and locks trading until the next trading day.
2. Max Drawdown Floor — continuous monitoring of equity against three selectable bases: static initial balance, trailing balance peak (closed profit), or trailing equity peak (floating included).
3. Lot Calculator with a real difference — the lot is derived from your stop line and risk (percent or money), then CAPPED by the strictest of four limiters: your risk, the loss-streak ceiling, the room left to the daily limit, and the room left to the drawdown floor. An ordinary calculator happily prints a lot that alone breaches your daily limit — Rulekeeper refuses.
4. Overtrading protection — a cap on closed trades per day and configurable response to it.
5. News quiet window — reads the built-in MT5 economic calendar (no DLLs, no web requests) and blocks entries around high-impact events of your symbol's currencies.
6. On-chart panel — live day room, drawdown room, trade counter, verdict with lot, risk tiles (+ / − / % / money / type a number), pending and market tiles, detailed expandable frame. Bilingual RU/EN, follows terminal language.
HOW TRADING WORKS
Press a tile → place the stop line (it follows your cursor) → optionally place the entry line → press again. The order type (BUY/SELL LIMIT/STOP or market) is DERIVED from the two lines and the price — you cannot send an order whose type differs from what the tile named. Orders are sent ONLY by pressing a tile — never by a signal, indicator or timer. This is a manual assistant by design, not an algo.
WHY IT IS SAFE FOR YOUR ACCOUNT
- Active mode is safe by construction: while a base is not set (first run, closed market), no rule fires and the panel loudly reports "NO BASE".
- Every refused click names its reason on the panel and in the CSV journal: broker retcodes translated to words, no silent failures.
- State survives terminal restarts: day index, day start, peaks and locks are stored in a file + global variables.
- Day boundary is server-time configurable (default midnight), so it matches your firm's definition.

No DLLs. No WebRequest. No account binding, no license checks, no personal data collection, no external links. Verified against the MQL5 Market requirements.
RECOMMENDED FOR: funded/eval accounts, personal accounts you want to keep alive, manual discretionary traders who need institutional discipline.
