I had a trade stopped out around 3 AM once. I don't remember the exact time, but I remember the spread. RAW account, usually runs clean. That night it blew out to something I had no business trading through. Position closed. Price came back fast...

Gold Algo Lab Tool Map: Where to Actually Start With Our MT5 Tools for XAUUSD
25 Haziran 2026, 16:04
Most gold traders don't need another indicator. They need to stop bleeding from the same mistake. I've spent eight years trading XAUUSD manually and building MT5 tools. And the pattern I keep seeing is this: The big losses don't usually come from bad analysis...

Thursday, London open, sometime in early 2024. Gold was running hard on a Fed minutes leak, spread blew out past 30 pips, and I knew exactly what needed to happen - close half, move stop to break-even, let the rest run. Simple. Obvious. Except I was still fumbling through MT5's modify dialog...

In 2022 I nearly pulled MACD from one of my gold EAs entirely. The setup was M15 crossover logic on XAUUSD. Backtests didn't look exciting but they looked stable enough to run on demo...

How to Read Gold Market Bias Before the New York Open - A Working Framework
18 Haziran 2026, 23:55
I used to do almost no preparation before the US session. I would glance at the chart, see a candle forming, decide it looked like a setup, and enter. Some trades were fine...

Structure First: Why I Check XAUUSD Zones Before RSI or MACD?
17 Haziran 2026, 02:03
I still use RSI. I just stopped letting it choose the location. An oversold reading near a well-tested H4 support is one thing. The same reading somewhere in the middle of a daily range is usually just noise - and on gold, noise is expensive...

WaveTrend vs MACD vs Supertrend on Gold M15 - What Actually Held Up Live
5 Haziran 2026, 16:29
Last year I had three M15 Gold setups running in parallel. Same chart, different momentum tools, all three looked fine in the tester. Two of them were gone within two weeks on live. Not a blowup - just the slow kind of death where you keep thinking it'll turn around and it doesn't...

I spent about three years building indicator-based EAs. RSI crossovers, MACD divergence, Bollinger squeeze - the whole playbook. Backtests were beautiful. 97% win rate, drawdown under 3%, equity curve so smooth it looked fake. Then I ran them live. Six weeks. Two systems in serious drawdown...

Back in 2017, I thought I had the overlap figured out. Six months of M15 backtest on XAUUSD. Fixed spread. Clean equity curve going up-right like a textbook diagram. The London/NY window - roughly 12:00 to 17:00 server time - kept printing the best setups...

63% win rate in backtest. Slow bleed live. The signal wasn't the problem. Wrote down what actually was.
Hoai Nam Trinh
My backtest showed a 63% win rate with a smooth equity curve. Clean drawdown. Respectable Sharpe. I deployed it live. Three weeks later the account was bleeding and I couldn't figure out why. The logic wasn't wrong. The entries were sound. The exits were mathematically reasonable...

I blew my second account on gold in 2017. Not because I had no idea what I was doing. I had a system. Backtested it. Equity curve looked decent - nothing flashy, just consistent enough to feel believable. Then I went live with a broker that turned out to have a dealing desk. Week three, down 40...

The 3 Numbers Every Gold Trader Should Know Before Opening a Position
25 Mayıs 2026, 23:45
Back in late 2022 I had an EA running on XAUUSD through a US CPI release. I was on a VPS in Singapore at the time - latency was already sketchy on normal days. Backtest was clean, equity curve straight enough that I genuinely thought I'd worked something out. Live, it burned in under an hour...

I'll be honest - I started writing this at 1am after spending four hours chasing a ghost bug in an EA that turned out to be a spread filter I forgot to update after switching brokers. The filter assumed a max spread of 30 points. The new broker was running 60 - 80 during London overlap...

MACD Ultimate MTF PRO is a MetaTrader 5 indicator built for traders who use MACD but want more context than a simple crossover. A common issue with the standard MACD is that a crossover may look clear, while momentum is still weak, the histogram is fading, or higher timeframes are not aligned. This can happen often on XAUUSD, M5/M15 charts, and other fast-moving symbols. Current price: $69 - increases by $10 after every 20 purchases until reaching the final price of $119 . Next price: $79

Support Resistance Break Zones PRO was built for a common problem I often see when trading XAUUSD and other fast-moving symbols: support and resistance levels are visible, but the chart becomes difficult to read when breakouts, retests and false breaks happen around the same area. Current price: $79 - increases by $10 after every 20 purchases until reaching the final price of $129 . Next price: $89 . Complete Buyer Kit: 42 Professional Resources included at no additional cost.
