Overview
Apex Signal Pro is a technical indicator designed to identify potential reversal points on any chart. It combines momentum analysis with multiple confirmation filters to reduce noise and highlight relevant price reversal conditions.
The indicator supports different symbols and timeframes. Confirmed signals are displayed as fixed chart markers, while developing conditions can be indicated by blinking arrows.
How It Works
Apex Signal Pro monitors an internal momentum oscillator. When the oscillator crosses predefined threshold levels, the indicator evaluates the conditions for a potential signal.
Three filters are available to refine signal detection:
Level Duration Filter: Requires the oscillator to remain beyond a specified threshold for a minimum number of bars before accepting certain crossover signals.
Distance Filter: Enforces a configurable minimum time distance between consecutive signals of the same type, helping reduce repeated signals.
Oscillation Filter: Detects rapid movements across a threshold and can filter signals when repeated crossings occur within a short period.
These filters help customize signal frequency and reduce some unwanted signals. Pending conditions can be displayed with blinking arrows, while confirmed signals are represented by fixed markers.
Signal Types
The indicator provides four signal types:
Green Dot (Buy): Appears below the candle when momentum crosses upward through the lower threshold. This may indicate that selling pressure is weakening and a bullish reversal could develop.
Red Dot (Sell): Appears above the candle when momentum crosses downward through the upper threshold. This may indicate that buying pressure is weakening and a bearish reversal could develop.
Green Triangle (Buy): Appears below the candle when momentum crosses upward through the upper threshold, highlighting strong upward momentum.
Red Triangle (Sell): Appears above the candle when momentum crosses downward through the lower threshold, highlighting strong downward momentum.
Blinking arrows indicate developing conditions. Confirmed markers remain displayed on the chart according to the indicator's signal-processing logic.
Input Parameters
Momentum Period: Sets the internal oscillator's calculation period. Default: 9.
Upper Threshold: Sets the upper reference level. Default: 70.
Lower Threshold: Sets the lower reference level. Default: 30.
Hours To Show: Limits the historical period used for displaying past signals. Set to 0 to process all available history.
Offset Points: Sets the distance between a signal marker and the candle's high or low.
Min Bars In Level: Sets the minimum number of bars required in a threshold zone before certain crossover signals are accepted.
Min Distance Bars: Sets the minimum time distance between consecutive signals of the same type.
Filter Oscillation: Enables or disables the rapid-crossing filter.
Alert Threat: Enables alerts for developing signal conditions.
Alert Confirmed: Enables alerts for confirmed signals.
Alert Popup, Alert Sound, Alert Push: Configure popup messages, sound alerts, and push notifications.
Alerts
Apex Signal Pro supports alerts for developing and confirmed signal conditions. Developing-condition alerts can provide early notification when a threshold crossing occurs. Confirmed-signal alerts notify the user when a signal is finalized according to the indicator's processing logic.
Popup, sound, and push notification methods can be configured through the input parameters.
Recommended Usage
Apex Signal Pro can be used as a technical analysis tool alongside price action, support and resistance levels, and other methods of market analysis.
Adjust the threshold levels, minimum distance between signals, and oscillation filter according to your preferred trading style and timeframe.
The indicator can be applied to Forex pairs, metals, indices, cryptocurrencies, and other instruments available in MetaTrader 5.
Limitations
Apex Signal Pro is a technical indicator and does not execute trades. Its signals are based on price-derived data and do not guarantee future market movements or trading results.
The current bar may change as new price data arrives. Signal markers and developing conditions should therefore be interpreted in the context of the indicator's calculation and confirmation logic.
The indicator does not provide stop-loss or take-profit levels. Users are responsible for trade execution and risk management.
