AlgoMind Atlas Core runs three independent mechanical trading engines from a single chart on MetaTrader 5.
Engine G trades gold on the daily timeframe: long only, in the direction of the trend, entering either on a breakout of the recent range or on a pullback to a short moving average.
Engine N trades a Nasdaq 100 index CFD intraday on the 15 minute timeframe: two legs arm pending orders at the daily pivot levels and are cancelled at the end of the session.
Engine A trades AUD/CAD on the 4 hour timeframe: it enters against a close outside a Bollinger band and exits at the moving average.
The three engines were selected because they behave differently from one another. Trend following, breakout and mean reversion respond to different market conditions, so the book as a whole moves less than any single engine.
Risk engine, always on
Every entry is sized from the distance to its stop loss, so each trade risks a fixed percentage of the account. A portfolio heat cap limits the combined open risk of all three engines. A daily loss limit and a maximum drawdown limit close everything and pause new entries, and a de-risk tier halves every entry while the account is in drawdown. New entries are blocked around high impact economic releases using the MetaTrader 5 economic calendar.
The Expert Advisor does not use DLL calls, does not connect to any external server and does not read external files. Everything it needs is inside the program, so it can be tested in the Strategy Tester exactly as it runs on an account.
Requirements
One chart, any symbol. A broker offering a gold symbol, a Nasdaq 100 index CFD and AUD/CAD. A hedging account, because the engines hold separate positions at the same time. A machine that stays on is recommended, since the index engine works intraday. Broker suffixes are resolved automatically.
Notes on risk
The defaults are chosen to sit inside the limits commonly used by proprietary trading firms. On a small account the volume required by the risk setting can fall below the minimum volume allowed by the broker; in that case the Expert Advisor does not open the position instead of taking a larger risk than configured, and writes the reason in the journal.
Past behaviour of any strategy does not determine future behaviour. Test the Expert Advisor in the Strategy Tester and on a demo account before using it on a live account.
