AlgoMind BTC Swing H4 is a swing trading Expert Advisor for Bitcoin on the 4 hour timeframe.
It enters long on a breakout of a Donchian channel, but only while the trend is confirmed on the
daily and weekly charts at the same time. This filter is the core of the strategy rather than an
accessory: without it the same breakout rule has no edge. As a consequence the Expert Advisor stays
out of the market for long periods, which is intended behaviour and not a fault.
The position is protected by a stop loss derived from the ATR and managed by a chandelier trailing
stop that follows the best price the trade has reached. One position is held at a time.
A separate short leg works on daily bars and is gated by market regime. It is a smaller part of the
book by design.
The Expert Advisor evaluates the market once per finished bar. It does not use DLL calls, does not
connect to any external server and does not read external files.
Requirements
Timeframe H4. One chart of a Bitcoin symbol. Check the symbol specification and the swap on your
broker before running it, since positions can be held for several days.
Notes on risk
On a small account the volume required by the risk setting can fall below the minimum volume
allowed by the broker; in that case the Expert Advisor does not open the position instead of taking
a larger risk than configured, and writes the reason in the journal.
Past behaviour of any strategy does not determine future behaviour. Test the Expert Advisor in the
Strategy Tester and on a demo account before using it on a live account.
