Version: 1.05 Type: Expert Advisor for MetaTrader 5 Purpose: automated trading of DIVERG divergence signals with a sideways-market filter, deposit-based risk management, ATR-based SL/TP and a trailing stop.
⚠️ Important: this is a fully automated Expert Advisor. It opens, modifies and closes trades on its own. Always test on a demo account first and make sure the risk settings match your strategy before using it on a live account.
1. What It Is
MegaTrader is the trading "little brother" of the MegaScanner indicator: it uses the same signal logic, but instead of displaying signals on a panel, it opens trades itself according to strict rules.
Key principles of the system:

The DIVERG Signal System
The EA trades signals from the DIVERG system — reversal divergences and patterns:

In a trend they produce losing streaks; in a sideways market they produce steady profit. The EMA slope filter removes trending regimes.
3. Risk Management
Lot calculation
risk money = balance × InpRiskPct / 100 loss per 1 lot = (|entry − SL| / tickSize) × tickValue lot = risk money / loss per 1 lot
So regardless of stop width, the loss per trade ≈ the set % of the deposit:
- narrow SL → larger lot;
- wide SL → smaller lot.
Protection

If SL = 50 pips → lot ≈ 0.6. If SL = 15 pips → lot ≈ 2.0. The loss is ≈ 300 USD in both cases.
4. SL / TP / Trailing
Stop loss (ATR)
SL = low/high ± max(10 points, ATR(14) × InpSLATRMult)
The stop is placed beyond the signal bar's extreme with an ATR offset. If a support/resistance level is nearby, the stop is moved beyond it.
Take profit 1:2
TP = entry ± 2.0 × ATR(14) (1:2 ratio to the stop)
Trailing stop

After the first target (1.0 ATR) is reached, SL moves to breakeven (+5 points).
5. Installation & Setup
- Copy MegaTrader.mq5 to the MQL5\Experts\ folder.
- MetaEditor → Compile (F7) → should show 0 errors, 0 warnings .
- In MetaTrader 5, drag the EA onto a chart (e.g., EURUSD H1).
- Enable algorithmic trading (the "Algo Trading" button).
- Set InpTradeEnable=true , configure risk and press OK.
📌 The EA trades one symbol — the one it is attached to. The default timeframe is H1.

- ⚠️ The system works only in a sideways market. In trending years (like 2023) it loses money. This is normal for divergence strategies — but keep it in mind when planning.
- ⚠️ 3% risk is aggressive. With a 10,000 deposit that is ~300 USD per trade. In a bad year the drawdown can reach 40%+. For conservative trading, lower it to 0.5–1%.
- ⚠️ Past results do not guarantee future returns. Parameters were fitted on 2023–2024. A forward test and periodic review are recommended.
- ✅ The EA uses InpMagic to identify its own trades — it does not conflict with other EAs.
- ✅ Check your broker's conditions: minimum lot, lot step, leverage and commissions.
