### Overview
AegisScalper Pro is a specialized scalping Expert Advisor for XAUUSD designed to capture short-term price movements across all market conditions — trending, ranging, and volatile. It features a **seven-tier entry signal system** that adapts to market behavior, combined with a **quick-close profit system** that secures gains fast while letting winners run, plus smart cooldown protection to prevent repeated entries at the same price level.
Version 1.2 introduces the **Quick-Close Edition** with tighter profit locking and faster trailing, specifically optimized for markets with stop-loss hunting and fake breakouts.
### Core Strategy: Seven-Tier Entry System
Unlike single-signal EAs, AegisScalper Pro classifies entries into seven confidence tiers:
1. **Tier 1 - Trend Foundation**: MA alignment and slope direction confirmation
2. **Tier 2 - Momentum Surge**: RSI and MACD momentum alignment
3. **Tier 3 - Aggressive Entry** (optional): Counter-momentum opportunities with strict risk parameters
4. **Tier 4 - Volatility Breakout**: ATR-based breakout detection when volatility exceeds threshold
5. **Tier 5 - Point Trigger** (optional): Precision entry within a defined price window over 3-5 candles
6. **Tier 6 - Consecutive Candle**: Entry on 3+ consecutive same-direction candles with volume confirmation
7. **Tier 7 - BB Fade** (optional): Bollinger Band boundary reversal in ranging markets (auto-disabled in trending conditions)
Each tier can be independently enabled or disabled, allowing traders to customize entry aggressiveness.
### Anti-Repeat Protection (BB Fade)
Prevents the BB Fade signal from opening multiple trades at the same price level:
- **Cooldown between entries**: Minimum 5 bars between BB Fade trades
- **Daily trade limit**: Maximum 3 BB Fade trades per day
- **Consecutive loss pause**: After 3 consecutive losing BB Fade trades, pause for 1 hour
### Global Entry Cooldown
After any position is closed (manually or by EA), ALL entry signals are blocked for a configurable number of bars. This prevents the EA from immediately re-entering at the same price level after a manual close or stop-out.
### Exit System: Quick-Close Profit Capture (V1.2)
Optimized for fast profit capture in choppy markets — designed to solve the "profit fades to stop-loss" problem:
**Quick-Close Zone**:
- If profit reaches $1.0-$3.0 within 15 bars → close entire position immediately
- Captures fast moves before they reverse
- Perfect for scalping: take quick profits and move on
**Breakeven Protection**:
- At $0.70 profit → SL moves to entry price
- Ensures winning trades never turn into losses
- Earlier breakeven = fewer wasted opportunities
**Profit Floor + Tight Trailing**:
- Above $1.80 profit → SL locks at $1.80 minimum (profit floor)
- Trailing stop follows highest price with only $0.70 drawdown
- Tighter trailing = more profit captured before reversals
- Stop only moves up, never down — profit floor is guaranteed
**Maximum Hold Time**: Automatically closes position if held beyond configurable candle count.
**Grace Period**: For the first N bars after entry, exit logic is suspended to allow price room to develop.

- **Wider SL Buffer**: Extra buffer beyond swing extreme to avoid being stopped by market noise and price probes
- **Fixed Lot Sizing**: Configurable lot size per trade
- **Spread Protection**: Blocks entry when spread exceeds configurable maximum
- **News Filter** (optional): Pauses trading around scheduled economic events
- **Signal Expiry**: Stale signals are discarded after configurable number of bars
- **Daily Loss Limit**: Stops all new entries if daily loss exceeds configurable percentage
