Strategy Overview

BTC Sharp Shooter is an automated trading system based on a Trend Following strategy. It combines the precision of Moving Average crossovers with volatility filtering through the Average Directional Index (ADX). The EA is designed to enter the market only when a trend is confirmed and possesses sufficient momentum, effectively minimizing the risk of being caught in consolidation phases (whipsaws).

Core Technical Logic

  1. Trend Confirmation (Moving Average):

    • Utilizes the crossover of the 50 MA (Fast) and 200 MA (Slow).

    • Bullish Bias: Confirmed when the 50 MA is above the 200 MA.

    • Bearish Bias: Confirmed when the 50 MA is below the 200 MA.

  2. Momentum Filter (ADX):

    • The EA only opens positions if the ADX value is > 25.

    • This threshold ensures the market is in a strong Trending state rather than moving sideways.

  3. Precision Execution:

    • Limits entries to one position per bar (candle) to prevent overtrading.

    • Automatically normalizes price and volume according to broker specifications (precision digits and lot steps).

  • Smart Auto-Lot Management: Automatically calculates lot sizes based on account balance for optimized risk management.

  • Broker Limit Protection: Features built-in detection for a broker's maximum and minimum volume limits to prevent "Invalid Volume" errors.

  • Anti-Spam Log System: An internal mechanism that halts order attempts if margin is insufficient or volume limits are reached, protecting your PC/VPS performance from bloated log files.

  • Margin Safety Check: Calculates required margin before sending orders to the server to ensure account health.

Input Parameters

  • MA Settings: Fast MA Period (Default 50) and Slow MA Period (Default 200).

  • ADX Settings: ADX Period (Default 14) and Trend Strength Level (Default 25).

  • Risk Management: Toggle between Auto-Lot or Static Lot, with adjustable Stop Loss and Take Profit in points.

  • Security: Unique Magic Number to distinguish Aurora transactions from other EAs.

Recommended Usage

  • Timeframe: H1 (Forex) or D1 (Gold/Crypto) for more stable trend results.

  • Minimum Balance: Recommended starting from $200 - $500 (depending on broker leverage).

  • Broker: Use a low-spread broker for optimal performance.
