StrengthLens - Currency Strength Meter for MT5
Trade the strongest currency against the weakest one. StrengthLens ranks the 8 major currencies (USD, EUR, GBP, JPY, CHF, CAD, AUD, NZD) from the 28 pairs between them, on three timeframes at once, and tells you the best pair to trade right now.
How it works
- For every currency it measures the average % change against the other 7 currencies over the last N candles (12 by default).
- The 8 currencies are ranked on the main timeframe, with a strength bar and the value for each timeframe (H1, H4 and D1 by default, all adjustable).
- The strongest currency is shown in green, the weakest in red.
Best pair
- The panel shows the pair made of the strongest and the weakest currency, already in your broker's direction: for example "SELL EURJPY" when JPY is the strongest and EUR the weakest.
- Click it and the chart switches to that pair.
Alerts
Popup, push and e-mail when the gap between the strongest and the weakest currency exceeds a level you choose (1% by default), once for every new best pair.
Works with any broker
- Symbol names are found automatically, also with suffixes or prefixes (EURUSD.raw, EURUSDm, ...). You can also write the suffix yourself.
- If some pairs are missing on your broker, the strength is calculated with the available ones.
- The history of the pairs is downloaded automatically the first time.
Panel
Position adjustable, light and dark theme follow the chart background, high-resolution screens supported, minimize button. It refreshes every 5 seconds without slowing the terminal.
Notes
In the Strategy Tester only the tested symbol has data, so the meter cannot be calculated there: use it on a live or demo chart.
