Stop Hunt Audit and Sweep Lab reads your closed trades and tells you how many of your stop losses were taken at an obvious level just before price went on to your target. Then it tests the opposite idea on any chart: trading the sweep instead of being swept, with a prop firm rules check.
Most traders know the feeling: the stop is hit, and then price goes exactly where you said. This tool counts how often it really happens on your own account, and how much wider the stop needed to be.
STOP HUNT AUDIT (your closed trades)
- Reads the closed trades of your account: last 180 days by default, all symbols or only the chart symbol, optional magic number filter.
- Keeps the losing trades closed by the stop loss. Stops hit at break even or in profit are not counted.
- Checks if the stop was at an obvious level: the nearest swing high or low that was visible and still untouched when you entered, the previous day high or low, or a round number.
- Follows price for 24 hours after the stop: did it reach your target (your take profit, or 2R if the trade had none), and how far beyond the stop did it go first?
- HUNTED = the stop was at an obvious level and price then reached your target.
- Shows how far price went beyond the stop (median, as % of the stop distance) and how many hunted trades a 25% or 50% wider stop would have saved. A wider stop also means a smaller lot for the same risk: the panel says so.
- Marks on the chart: a cross on every stop of the chart symbol (red = hunted, orange = target hit but no level, gray = target not hit) and a dotted line to the point where the target was hit.
- CSV report of every trade in the MQL5\Files folder.
SWEEP LAB (the chart symbol and timeframe)
- Tests a liquidity sweep rule on the last 90 days of the chart: price goes beyond a swing high or low, or beyond the previous day high or low, and a candle closes back within a few candles.
- Entry on that close, stop beyond the sweep extreme plus a small buffer, take profit at an R multiple (2R by default), closed after 48 candles if neither is hit.
- Conservative: when one candle touches both the stop and the target, it counts as a loss. The spread of each candle is included. Slippage and commission are not.
- Results: number of trades, wins and losses, win rate, average and total result in R, longest losing streak, worst drawdown in R.
PROP FIRM CHECK
- Enter your risk per trade, profit target, maximum daily loss and maximum total loss.
- The Sweep Lab results are played in order, starting the challenge on each day of the test: you see how often it would have passed, failed or not finished, and the median number of days to pass.
- Closed results only (floating loss is not simulated). Daily loss is measured on the starting balance.
STRATEGY TESTER DEMO
The audit needs closed trades. In the Strategy Tester only, the program opens sample trades with the minimum lot (one every 4 hours, stop just beyond the nearest swing, take profit 2R), so you can see the audit work. On a live or demo account it never opens, changes or closes a trade.
HOW TO USE IT
1. Attach it to any chart. The Sweep Lab uses the symbol and timeframe of that chart. Algo Trading does not need to be on.
2. The panel fills in a few seconds and updates every 30 minutes. Press Refresh to update it now.
3. Change the inputs to test other rules: swing strength, candles allowed to close back, stop buffer, R multiple, prop firm limits.
MAIN INPUTS
Days of history to read, trades to read (all symbols or this chart), magic number, candles used after the stop, hours to follow price, target when there was no take profit, swing timeframe and strength, level distance, previous day and round number levels, Sweep Lab days, sweep types, confirm candles, stop buffer, R multiple, maximum candles in a trade, spread, prop firm limits, panel position, marks, CSV.
IMPORTANT
"Hunted" means the stop sat at a level where many traders put their stops, and price later reached the target. It is not a proof that anyone moved the market against you. All results are past results on past prices: they do not tell you what price will do next. The tool gives no signals and does not trade for you.
