Breakouter Metals is an Expert Advisor for MetaTrader 5 that coordinates trading across gold and silver markets. XAUUSD is the central signal market and remains active. Standard, the default mode, opens XAUUSD trades only. Full mode adds your selection of the eight additional markets. Enter your broker's symbol names and manage the product from one dashboard.
Trading concept and differences from Breakouter X6 Portfolio
Breakouter X6 Portfolio evaluates each enabled market's own price data using its assigned trading modules. The markets can generate entry signals independently and manage their positions according to market-specific rules.
Breakouter Metals uses XAUUSD as the common signal leader. In Full mode, entries and full or partial exits on the enabled additional metal markets are governed by the corresponding XAUUSD positions. These markets do not generate independent entry signals of their own. XAUUSD remains permanently enabled; Standard opens new positions on XAUUSD only.
The distinction lies in how the portfolio is controlled: in Breakouter X6, each enabled market makes trading decisions based on its own signals. In Breakouter Metals, XAUUSD governs the entries and full or partial exits of the additional metal markets in Full mode. The XAUUSD signal approach builds on the existing Breakouter strategy foundation, however, due to its guidance by XAUUSD, it differs fundamentally from the Breakouter X6 strategy base and thus possesses its own unique trading concept.
One signal leader, nine metal markets
Supported markets: XAUUSD, XAUCHF, XAUJPY, XAGUSD, XAGEUR, XAUGBP, XAUEUR, XAUAUD and XAGAUD. Availability depends on your broker. The additional markets follow the XAUUSD-led trading approach; they do not generate independent strategy signals.
A dashboard for daily operation
- View market status, position counts, lot volumes and product results in one place.
- Monitor account-wide margin utilisation and the current XAUUSD spread relative to the configured limit.
- Follow the observed account balance from the time the dashboard starts.
- Change market selections, broker symbols, lot sizing, trading capacity and time rules directly in the settings panel.
EA input names and journal diagnostics remain English regardless of the interface language. Settings are edited as a draft and become active after Apply. Saved GUI settings are restored for the same broker account after a restart.
Trading settings
Lot sizing offers the broker's minimum lot or a risk-based calculation referenced to XAUUSD. Trading capacity offers Standard (XAUUSD only, the default) and Full (recommended, with selected additional metal markets). Full can increase concurrent exposure. The recommendation does not change an existing selection or preset automatically.
Market selections are retained when switching modes. Switching to Standard stops new entries on the additional markets while continuing to manage existing positions, partial and complete exits, and outstanding requests. It does not close positions simply because the mode changed. XAUUSD trades opened in Standard are not extended retrospectively to other markets when switching to Full. These mode rules apply equally in live trading and testing.
An adjustable entry window defines how long additional markets can participate after an XAUUSD opening. Its initial setting is ten seconds. The spread limit and broker trading conditions can delay or prevent participation. Weekend and daily-close rules use broker server time. Turning off an additional market prevents new entries; existing positions remain managed while operating requirements are met.
Operating requirements
Use a MetaTrader 5 hedging account with the required tradable broker symbols and permitted order volumes. XAUUSD must be available. Run only one Breakouter Metals instance per broker account, including across different computers. Keep the Expert Advisor running, connected to the broker and permitted to trade.
The additional metal positions have no separate stop-loss or take-profit price levels placed by this Expert Advisor at the broker. Their exits, including partial exits, are managed by the running software. When the software is stopped or disconnected, or trading is not permitted, it cannot send those exit requests. Existing server-side XAUUSD orders remain subject to broker execution conditions.
Understanding the figures
Open results include swap. Booked results include attributed costs and can include opening costs of positions that are still open. Margin and balance figures cover the entire account, including activity outside this product. The balance chart is a limited observation window beginning when the dashboard starts, not a complete historical performance record.
Equal lot volumes do not imply equal monetary risk across different metal contracts. The risk input is not an account-wide loss limit; minimum lots and simultaneous positions can increase aggregate exposure. Coordinated orders are not guaranteed to execute at the same time or at equivalent prices. Multi-market operation does not guarantee diversification, hedging or profitable results.
