TROID – Adaptive Forming-Bar Intelligence for MetaTrader 5
Most EAs react to candles after they close. TROID reads the candle while it is
still forming – and only acts when its model is at least 90% confident.
HOW IT THINKS
TROID's core is an adaptive machine-learning model that, on every tick,
-estimates the probability that the current hourly candle will close above or
below the previous hour's close. It combines live price, the hour's evolving
high/low structure, intrabar velocity and volatility-adjusted distance into a
single probability – and every week it retrains itself on nearly 100,000 bars
of fresh M1 history for the exact symbol it is attached to. No fixed rules
that go stale: TROID keeps learning the market it trades.
THE SIX ENGINES
1. Adaptive Probability Engine – weekly self-retraining; trades only
high-conviction signals (default threshold 0.90).
2. Precision Entry System – limit orders at the key reference level or
market entries when price has moved in your favour; scales in only at
better prices (0.5 ATR steps); max 12 entries per hour; spread filter.
3. Hour-Transition Manager – at each new hour, TROID reviews every open
position against the new signal: keeps positions aligned with it and banks
profitable ones that oppose it.
4. Smart Hedge Module – protects positions caught against a new signal with a
single calibrated hedge, then unwinds it automatically when the market
turns back.
5. Cost Optimiser – "Close By" pairing realises locked-in profit between
opposite positions without paying the spread twice; entries are filtered so
every long/short pair it builds is positioned to lock in profit.
6. Equity Guardian – closes the whole basket once equity reaches +5% over
balance, a hard equity stop at 40%, and a trading window (01:00–23:00
server time) that avoids the wide-spread rollover period.
BACKTEST – GBPUSD, Jan–Sep 2026, real ticks (100% history quality),
default settings, 50,000 initial deposit, 0.25 lots
- Net profit: 85,846.51 (+171.7%)
- Profit factor: 7.10 | Sharpe ratio: 2.09 | Recovery factor: 2.40
- 1,187 trades, 93.93% winning (longs 95.92%, shorts 92.65%)
- Balance-curve linearity (LR correlation): 0.95
- Max balance drawdown: 2.99% | Max equity drawdown: 31.69%
Why the two drawdowns differ: TROID holds and hedges positions caught against
the market until its rules can exit them favourably, so floating (equity)
drawdown is deeper than closed-trade drawdown. Size your account by the
equity figure.
WORKS ON ANY SYMBOL
Because TROID trains on the M1 history of whatever chart it runs on, it
adapts to forex majors and crosses, metals, indices and crypto CFDs. Test your

RECOMMENDED SETUP
- Keep the default settings – they are the tested configuration.
- Hedging account recommended for the full feature set (on netting accounts, the hedge module and Close By pairing are automatically disabled.
- Low-spread broker and VPS recommended.
- Attach to any chart timeframe (TROID reads M1 data internally).
- Risk scaling: 0.25 lots was tested on 50,000; use roughly 0.05 lots per
10,000 of balance.
- Test mode: "Every tick based on real ticks".
- When you are ready to trade live, set AllowRealAccount = true
(a safety switch to make sure you test on demo first).
