AEGIS GOLD VORTEX EA
Aegis Gold Vortex EA is an Expert Advisor for MetaTrader 5 specifically developed for XAUUSD / GOLD on the H1 timeframe.
The system uses a mean-reversion strategy combined with advanced market filtering and automated basket management. It evaluates multiple market conditions before opening a position and then manages the entire trading cycle automatically, including entry validation, basket progression, exit logic and risk controls.
If price temporarily moves against the initial entry, the EA can build a basket through predefined levels. The management system includes controlled lot progression, a defined basket stop distance, weighted-average basket exits and specific time-based exit rules.
The complete strategy configuration is built directly into the EA.
SIMPLE SETUP - ONLY ONE USER INPUT
Aegis Gold Vortex was designed to avoid the need for users to optimize or modify dozens of parameters.
The Market version exposes only one configurable input:
Initial Lot
All other strategy parameters are internally locked, including EMA, RSI and ATR filters, basket structure, lot multiplier, grid distance, basket stop, weighted exit logic, trading hours, cooldown and market filters.
The user therefore only needs to decide how much capital to allocate to the EA and which Initial Lot to use.

STRATEGY STRUCTURE
The strategy combines multiple market filters and automated basket management to identify and manage mean-reversion opportunities on XAUUSD. The system includes:

With an Initial Lot of 0.10, the basket progression is approximately:
0.10 -> 0.22 -> 0.48 -> 1.06 -> 2.34 -> 5.15
Initial Lot does NOT represent the maximum possible exposure of the system.
If every basket level were activated at the same time, the theoretical combined exposure of this sequence would be approximately 9.35 lots.
For this reason, the relationship between account capital and Initial Lot is extremely important.

RISK PROFILES AND INITIAL LOT CALCULATION
Aegis Gold Vortex allows users to adjust overall exposure while keeping the trading strategy itself unchanged.
The principle is simple:
The more capital allocated for each 0.01 of Initial Lot, the more conservative the overall risk profile becomes.
Suggested capital allocation:
AGGRESSIVE
$500 per 0.01 Initial Lot
Example: $5,000 -> 0.10 Initial Lot
Historical reference drawdown: approximately 37%
BALANCED
$1,000 per 0.01 Initial Lot
Example: $10,000 -> 0.10 Initial Lot
Projected drawdown based on proportional exposure: approximately 19%
CONSERVATIVE
$1,500 per 0.01 Initial Lot
Example: $15,000 -> 0.10 Initial Lot
Projected drawdown based on proportional exposure: approximately 12-13%
VERY CONSERVATIVE

Only the Aggressive drawdown figure is directly derived from the displayed backtest. The other values are proportional projections based on the same historical monetary exposure applied to larger account balances. They do not represent guaranteed future drawdown limits.
AGGRESSIVE PROFILE FORMULA
Initial Lot = 0.01 x (Allocated Capital / 500)
Always round DOWN to the nearest lot step supported by the broker.
Examples:
$500 -> 0.01
$1,000 -> 0.02
$2,500 -> 0.05
$5,000 -> 0.10
$10,000 -> 0.20
$20,000 -> 0.40
BALANCED PROFILE FORMULA
Initial Lot = 0.01 x (Allocated Capital / 1,000)

PRACTICAL EXAMPLE - $10,000 ACCOUNT
If a user allocates $10,000 exclusively to Aegis Gold Vortex:
Aggressive:
10,000 / 500 x 0.01 = 0.20
Balanced:
10,000 / 1,000 x 0.01 = 0.10
Conservative:
10,000 / 1,500 x 0.01 = 0.066
Use 0.06 after rounding down.
Very Conservative:
10,000 / 2,000 x 0.01 = 0.05
GENERAL ROUNDING RULE
When the formula produces a value between two valid lot sizes, always round DOWN.
Example:
Allocated Capital: $8,000
Selected Profile: Conservative
Capital per 0.01: $1,500
8,000 / 1,500 = 5.33
Initial Lot = 0.05
Do not round it up to 0.06.
This approach prevents the lot size from being increased before the account has reached the next capital threshold.
USE THE CAPITAL ACTUALLY ALLOCATED TO THE EA
The formulas should be calculated using the capital actually allocated to Aegis Gold Vortex, not necessarily the full balance of the trading account.
Example:
Account Balance: $20,000
Capital actually allocated to Aegis Gold Vortex: $10,000
Use $10,000 for the lot-size calculation.
This is particularly important if other Expert Advisors or manual strategies are running on the same account.
WHY DIFFERENT RISK PROFILES EXIST
The strategy logic and trading signals do not change between Aggressive, Balanced, Conservative and Very Conservative.
Only the relationship between Allocated Capital and Initial Lot changes.
Using the same Initial Lot with a larger amount of capital generally reduces the percentage impact of floating drawdown and margin usage.
This relationship was also observed across two different backtests:
$500 Initial Deposit / 0.01 Initial Lot
Maximum Equity Relative Drawdown: 37.60%
$5,000 Initial Deposit / 0.10 Initial Lot
Maximum Equity Relative Drawdown: 37.26%
The capital-to-lot ratio is identical and the observed percentage risk profile remained very similar.
This does not mean future drawdown will necessarily be identical. Market conditions, spread, slippage, execution quality, leverage and broker specifications can all affect actual results.
INCREASING LOT SIZE AS THE ACCOUNT GROWS
The Initial Lot can be increased progressively as the allocated capital grows while maintaining the selected capital-to-lot ratio.
Example using the Conservative profile:
$1,500 - $2,999 -> 0.01
$3,000 - $4,499 -> 0.02
$4,500 - $5,999 -> 0.03
$6,000 - $7,499 -> 0.04
$7,500 - $8,999 -> 0.05
$9,000 - $10,499 -> 0.06
$10,500 - $11,999 -> 0.07
$12,000 - $13,499 -> 0.08
$13,500 - $14,999 -> 0.09
$15,000 - $16,499 -> 0.10
The Initial Lot does not need to be increased after every small gain.
Instead, increase it only after the allocated capital reaches the next required threshold.
If the allocated capital falls below the corresponding threshold, reducing the Initial Lot again is the more conservative approach.

The main Aegis Gold Vortex strategy was developed, configured and tested specifically for XAUUSD / GOLD H1.
The EA is technically capable of executing trades on other instruments for compatibility purposes, but other symbols are NOT part of the recommended or supported trading strategy.
To use the strategy and risk profiles described on this product page, use XAUUSD / GOLD on H1.
AUTOMATIC BASKET MANAGEMENT
Aegis Gold Vortex does not use an unlimited grid.
The strategy uses a predefined maximum number of levels, a predefined lot progression and a defined basket stop distance.
When multiple levels become active, the EA can calculate the weighted average entry price of the open basket and use that information to manage the basket exit.
The system also operates with one basket at a time and applies a cooldown between consecutive baskets.
All of this management is performed automatically.
AGGRESSIVE PROFILE SHOWN IN THE SCREENSHOTS
The screenshots showing:
$5,000 Initial Deposit + 0.10 Initial Lot
deliberately represent the Aggressive configuration.
Users are NOT required to use the same capital-to-lot ratio.
A user who wants to keep Initial Lot at 0.10 could instead allocate:
$5,000 -> Aggressive
$10,000 -> Balanced
$15,000 -> Conservative
$20,000 -> Very Conservative
This allows the same trading logic to be used with different levels of account exposure.
INSTALLATION
1. Open an XAUUSD / GOLD H1 chart.
2. Attach Aegis Gold Vortex EA.
3. Enable Algo Trading.
4. Enter the desired Initial Lot.
5. Make sure the trading account uses Hedging mode.
6. Use the risk-profile guidelines above to select the appropriate capital-to-lot ratio.
7. Testing the EA on a demo account before using real capital is recommended.
IMPORTANT RISK INFORMATION
Aegis Gold Vortex uses a basket structure with increasing volume on subsequent levels.
For this reason, the Initial Lot does NOT represent the maximum possible exposure of the EA.
Using a more aggressive capital-to-Initial-Lot ratio increases both potential returns and potential floating drawdown, margin usage and loss.
The Aggressive profile shown in the screenshots should not be interpreted as the required configuration or as a risk level suitable for every trader.
Each user is responsible for selecting a risk profile appropriate for their capital and risk tolerance.
