Why Ingot

For traders who want a gold EA that does not stack deep averaging positions. GoldHam Ingot buys only when gold has pulled back inside an uptrend, adds the same small size if the price keeps falling, and closes the whole basket when the price is 4 dollars above its break-even line. It never sells short.
How it differs from the other GoldHam EAs
- Buy only, pullbacks inside an uptrend (Blade, Shield and Attack trade both directions with deeper averaging)
- Shallow averaging: up to 4 positions per basket, 2 baskets at a time, 4 positions in total
- A fixed stop line: when the total floating loss reaches 25% of the trading capital, it closes everything
- In rough markets (daily range above 1.5% of the price) it lightens up automatically: 1 basket and 2 positions at most
How it trades
- Start: a 1-minute bar closes with RSI(2) at 30 or below, while the price is below the daily 20-day moving average (a dip) and above the 4-hour 20-bar moving average (uptrend)
- Add: when the price falls 6 x ATR(14, M1) below the basket's last order, it buys the same size again
- Close: break-even line + 4 dollars per basket
- About one basket a day; most baskets close on the same day
Backtest (MT5, real ticks, January 2024 to September 4, 2026, 1 lot = 100 oz, 1,000,000 JPY ≈ 7,000 USD, 0.01 lot, default settings)
- Net profit +446,248 JPY
- Profit factor 10.37
- Max drawdown 14% (equity), 0.2% (balance)
- The 25% stop line was never reached in the test
- The test ends on a day with no open baskets
Requirements
- MT5, gold on the 1-minute chart (any broker symbol name for gold)
- A hedging account where 1 lot = 100 oz. It does not run on 1-oz micro accounts
- Trading capital: 0.01 lot per 7,000 USD on a USD account (1,000,000 JPY on a JPY account; other currencies are converted). The input is in your account currency (default 7,000)
- Run only this EA on the account
Inputs you can change: trading capital, RSI level (20–30), baskets (1–2), positions per basket (3–4), add spacing (5–7 x ATR), take-profit distance (3–5 dollars), stop line (20–30% of capital), lighten up in rough markets (on/off).
