The Bitcoin Jolt never buys or sells on a whim. Every single trade must pass through a structured decision chain before a single lot is opened. First, the EA maps the market's directional bias using a triple EMA structure (9/21/50) on the execution timeframe, cross-checked against optional M5, M15, and H1 trend filters — so you are never trading against the bigger picture. Second, it scans for genuine impulsive candles using ATR-normalized body size, body-to-range ratio, and close-location analysis, filtering out indecisive or wick-heavy candles that fake out lesser systems. Third, it demands momentum confirmation: RSI must be participating in the move (not overbought/oversold reversal logic — participation logic), tick volume must exceed its rolling average by a configurable multiplier, and an optional ADX filter locks the EA out of weak, directionless markets entirely.
Only when all of these layers align does the built-in weighted Signal Scoring Engine (0–11 points across seven independent factors) calculate a composite score. You decide the minimum score required to trade — tighten it for a highly selective, low-frequency approach, or loosen it for a more active style. Either way, nothing fires below your threshold.
Two Entry Styles, Your Choice
Choose Candle Close entries for confirmed, no-chase execution the moment an impulse bar closes, or Breakout entries that wait for price to clear the impulse candle's high or low before committing. A dedicated Maximum Entry Extension filter (ATR-based) ensures the EA never chases a move that has already run too far from its origin — protecting you from the single most common cause of poor risk/reward on impulsive entries.
Risk Management That Actually Protects Your Account
The Bitcoin Jolt calculates every position size dynamically from your account equity, your chosen risk percentage, the live stop-loss distance, and your broker's exact tick value, tick size, and volume step — nothing is hardcoded, so it adapts correctly to any BTCUSD contract specification across any broker. Stops are placed using a structural + ATR-based hybrid method (referencing the impulse candle's own invalidation point), and take-profits are calculated on a configurable risk-to-reward ratio.
Layered on top of that is a full capital-preservation framework: configurable daily loss limits, weekly loss limits, maximum account drawdown protection, and a consecutive-loss circuit breaker that forces a cooldown period after a defined losing streak. There is no martingale, no lot-doubling, no recovery grid, and no averaging down anywhere in this system — every trade is sized independently, every time, without exception.
Trade Management That Works While You Sleep
Once in a position, The Bitcoin Jolt actively manages it: an optional break-even mechanism locks in cost coverage once a trade reaches your defined R-multiple, an ATR-based trailing stop rides winning moves while tolerating normal M1 pullbacks, and an optional partial-close feature banks a portion of profit at a defined R-multiple while letting the remainder run under continued management. A one-trade-per-impulse rule and configurable post-trade cooldown prevent the EA from re-entering the same signal or over-trading a single move.
Built for Transparency and Real-World Execution
Every decision the EA makes is logged — entries, exits, rejected signals with the exact reason ("score too low," "spread too high," "daily loss limit reached"), ATR, RSI, ADX, volume ratio, signal score, and R-multiple outcome — giving you full visibility for review and optimization in the MT5 Strategy Tester. A live spread filter and execution deviation control keep every fill within acceptable real-world execution conditions, and an optional trading-session window lets you restrict activity to your preferred hours even though BTCUSD trades 24/7.
