KD Auto SLTP and Custom Price Alerts

KD Auto SLTP and Custom Price Alerts is a trade planning and risk management indicator for MetaTrader 5. It calculates Stop Loss levels from nearby swing structure, provides multiple Take Profit methods, calculates position size according to a selected percentage of account balance, and includes up to nine user-defined price alert lines.

The indicator uses a configurable ZigZag structure engine together with an Average True Range (ATR) buffer to determine structural Stop Loss levels. Swing structure can be sourced from the current timeframe or a higher timeframe. Take Profit can be calculated from an opposing market structure target or from a fixed risk-to-reward ratio.

Entry, Stop Loss, and Take Profit preview lines can be repositioned directly on the chart, allowing the calculated setup to be adjusted visually. KD Auto SLTP also includes the Prop Firm Drawdown Shield, leverage protection, draggable custom price alerts, keyboard controls, and real-time synchronization with KD SMC Mini Charts.

  • Draggable Entry, SL and TP Lines: Reposition the Entry, Stop Loss, and Take Profit preview levels directly on the chart. Moving the Entry line adjusts the associated SL and TP levels together to preserve the planned setup.

  • Prop Firm Drawdown Shield: Configure an initial balance reference and maximum daily and total drawdown thresholds for account-level risk monitoring.

  • Leverage Protection: Configure a maximum leverage limit or use the broker's leverage information as a reference for the protection logic.

  • 9 Custom Price Alerts: Set up to nine independent price-alert lines, drag each line to the required price level, and receive a sound notification when an armed level is reached.

  • Hotkey Controls: Create Buy/Sell previews, show or hide SL/TP lines and labels, manage the nine custom price-alert lines, and reset the trade preview to the current market price directly from the keyboard.

  • SL/TP Preview: Displays planned Entry, Stop Loss, and Take Profit levels together with relevant trade information directly on the chart.

  • KD SMC Mini Charts Synchronization: When used together with KD SMC Mini Charts, Entry, Stop Loss, Take Profit preview levels, and supported alert lines can be mirrored onto the mini charts in real time.

KD Auto SLTP provides keyboard shortcuts for frequently used chart functions:

  • Ctrl+Shift+B: Create or display the Buy preview.

  • Ctrl+Shift+S: Create or display the Sell preview.

  • Ctrl+Shift+0: Show or hide the SL/TP lines.

  • Ctrl+Shift+L: Show or hide the SL/TP labels.

  • Ctrl+Shift+1 to 9: Show or hide custom price-alert lines 1 to 9.

  • Ctrl+Shift+R: Reset the Entry, Stop Loss, and Take Profit preview to the current market price.

The Entry, Stop Loss, Take Profit, and custom price-alert lines can be repositioned directly on the chart. This allows the automatically calculated setup to be used as a starting point and then adjusted visually when required.

  • In practice: KD Auto SLTP uses the selected swing source and its ZigZag structure settings to locate a relevant structural level. An ATR-based buffer is then applied beyond that level for the Stop Loss calculation.

  • Purpose: Provides a consistent method for calculating Stop Loss placement from detected price structure.

Use Case 2: Current-Timeframe or Higher-Timeframe Stop Reference

  • Setup: You are reviewing a lower-timeframe entry but want the Stop Loss calculation to reference either local or broader swing structure.

  • In practice: Select the Current Timeframe or Higher Timeframe as the swing source. The structure engine then uses the corresponding swing information when calculating the Stop Loss reference.

  • Purpose: Allows the structural reference used for Stop Loss calculation to be adapted to the timeframe context of the setup.

  • Setup: You want to use a defined percentage of account balance as the risk reference for a trade.

  • Purpose: Calculates the Take Profit distance relative to the planned Entry and Stop Loss distance.

  • Setup: You want Take Profit to reference market structure rather than only a fixed risk-to-reward ratio.

  • In practice: Select the Market Structure Take Profit mode. The indicator uses an opposing swing or structural target as the Take Profit reference, subject to the configured TP:SL ratio ceiling.
