Intraday traders and scalpers frequently encounter a recurring cycle: entering positions immediately before a corrective retracement, getting stopped out by random wicks within a consolidation pattern, or hesitating during initial breakout phases only to chase an exhausted price move. When markets coil into compression ranges, unconfirmed entries often result in avoidable whipsaws.
TriangleBreakout addresses this challenge by filtering out low-conviction, choppy price action and identifying verified structural expansion beyond defined pattern boundaries. The algorithm tracks price compression within ascending, descending, or symmetrical triangle formations and validates when candle momentum breaks through structural levels. Structural Stop Loss Placement:
- The indicator automatically projects a protective Stop Loss reference positioned outside the recent structural swing extreme.
- A configurable volatility buffer provides additional distance beyond key pivots to accommodate normal spread variations and short-term market noise.
