Systematic Identification of Range Compression Breakouts
Intraday traders and scalpers frequently encounter execution difficulties during range-bound conditions. Initiating trades within tight consolidation often results in whipsaws from boundary wicks, buying into immediate resistance pullbacks, or entering late into exhausted price legs after momentum has already dissipated. Without objective confirmation criteria, differentiating between low-volume consolidation noise and genuine structural expansion becomes difficult.
This indicator addresses this challenge by detecting phases of price compression and identifying the point where directional expansion breaks beyond established boundaries. By filtering erratic chop within the range, it provides on-chart visual confirmation when price action establishes directional momentum outside consolidation limits.
The mechanism is designed for active trading sessions where market volume transitions into sustained directional movement across liquid instruments, active symbols, and volatile markets.

Visual BUY Confirmation
- A setup forms after price consolidates within defined range boundaries.
- A bullish expansion candle closes decisively above the upper range ceiling.
- The signal confirms strictly upon the close of the setup candle.
- The open of the subsequent candle serves as the execution reference.
Visual SELL Confirmation
- A setup forms after price consolidates within defined range boundaries.
- A bearish expansion candle closes decisively below the lower range floor.
- The signal confirms strictly upon the close of the setup candle.

Structural Stop Loss Placement
- The indicator automatically projects a protective Stop Loss reference positioned outside the opposite structural boundary of the consolidation range.
- A configurable volatility buffer provides additional distance to accommodate normal spread fluctuations and market noise.
