🔧 Installation in MetaTrader 5
Step 1: Download
After purchase on MQL5 Market, you'll receive the file `VylTradeManager.ex5`.
Step 2: Install in the terminal
1. Open MetaTrader 5
2. Go to File → Open Data Folder (or press Ctrl+Shift+D)
3. Open the MQL5 → Experts folder
4. Copy `VylTradeManager.ex5` into this folder
5. Restart MetaTrader 5 (or press F5 in the Navigator window)
Step 3: Add to Chart
1. Open the chart you want (e.g., EURUSD)
2. In the Navigator window (Ctrl+N), find VylTradeManager under "Expert Advisors"
3. Drag it onto the chart
4. In the settings window that appears:
- ✅ Enable "Allow live trading"
- ✅ Make sure AutoTrading is also enabled in the terminal settings (Tools → Options → Expert Advisors)
5. Click OK

💡 Important note on points: On MT5, for 5-digit quotes, 1 point = 0.1 pip. If you want a 50-pip Stop Loss, set `InpDefaultSL = 500`. For 4-digit quotes, 1 point = 1 pip.
📖 User Guide
1. Position Size (Lot) Calculation
The panel automatically calculates the optimal lot size using: Balance × Risk % / (SL distance × point value).
Adjusting risk: press **+** (increase by 0.1%) or **-** (decrease by 0.1%). The Reset Risk button returns to the default value.
Color coding: 🟢 Green (0.1%–1.0%), 🟡 Yellow (1.1%–3.0%), 🔴 Red (3.1%+).
2. Opening Positions
Set your desired risk, SL, and TP, then press BUY or SELL. The position opens with the calculated lot size and your SL/TP automatically set.
3. Breakeven Function
Moves the Stop Loss of all open positions (magic number 12345) to the entry price + an offset (default: +5 points). Use it once a position is already in profit to remove risk from the trade.
4. Partial Close (Close 50%)
Closes exactly half the volume of all open positions — great for locking in part of the profit and reducing stress. You can then move the remainder to breakeven.
5. Close All Positions
Instantly closes all positions with magic number 12345 on the current instrument. Positions opened manually or by other EAs are not affected.
❓ Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Q: Why aren't my trades opening?
A: Make sure that: 1) "AutoTrading" is enabled in the top MT5 toolbar. 2) "Allow live trading" is enabled in the EA's settings. 3) There's enough free margin in the account.
Q: How do I change the magic number?
A: In the current version, the magic number is fixed at 12345. This is by design, so the panel only manages its own positions.
Q: Why is the lot always the minimum (0.01)?
A: This happens when the risk is too small and the Stop Loss is too large. Check the formula: Risk ($) / (SL in points × point value) = lot.
Q: Does the panel work on a demo account?
A: Yes, the panel is fully functional on a demo account. We strongly recommend testing all the features on demo first before trading live.
