DANO — Dynamic Algorithmic Network Operator is a day trading Expert Advisor designed to trade gold (XAUUSD) exclusively on MetaTrader 5.
DANO is not a scalping robot designed to multiply entries. It follows a deliberately selective approach and can open a maximum of two trades per day.
Its objective is to wait for a sufficiently strong setup before entering the market, then actively manage the position throughout its duration.
Depending on market conditions, a trade may remain open for approximately 2 to 17 hours. However, all positions are designed to be closed before the next trading day: DANO does not hold trades for several days.
Once installed, DANO can automatically:
-
analyze the structure of the gold market;
-
study multiple timeframes;
-
detect buy or sell opportunities;
-
filter out some insufficient setups;
-
open up to two trades per day;
-
manage two profit targets, TP1 and TP2;
-
secure the position progressively;
-
move the protective stop after a target is reached;
-
close the trade when its exit conditions are met;
-
limit its exposure through several safety rules.
A selective day trading approach
DANO does not aim to be constantly active in the market.
On some days, it may detect two opportunities. On other days, it may detect only one—or none at all—if the required conditions are not met.
The absence of a trade therefore does not mean that the robot is not working. It may simply indicate that no setup matching its criteria has been detected.
This approach helps limit repeated entries and gives priority to the scenarios considered most relevant by its analysis system.
Multi-timeframe analysis
DANO monitors several timeframes simultaneously:
-
M5 to track the most recent price movements and refine execution;
-
M15 to analyze short-term market structure;
-
H1 to confirm direction and the intraday context;
-
H4 to understand the overall trend and important market areas.
This combination prevents DANO from making a decision based on a single movement or timeframe.
Before opening a trade, it may examine:
-
the overall market direction;
-
the recent price structure;
-
alignment between the different timeframes;
-
the strength of the detected setup;
-
available volatility;
-
areas likely to trigger a reaction;
-
signs of acceleration or reversal;
-
trending, ranging, or indecisive market conditions.
DANO can look for both buy and sell opportunities.
Maximum of two trades per day
DANO is limited to a maximum of two trades per trading day.
This limit is part of its risk management and selective approach. Once the maximum number of trades has been reached, DANO will not look for another entry until the following day.
The maximum is a limit, not a target: DANO is not required to open two trades every day.
All market sessions
DANO is not restricted to a single trading session.
It can detect an opportunity during:
-
the Asian session;
-
the London session;
-
the New York session.
The entry time depends on the market conditions observed. DANO may therefore enter at different times of the day whenever a setup matching its criteria appears.
Performance and execution conditions may nevertheless vary depending on the session, volatility, spread, and broker used.
TP1 and TP2 management
Each trade is managed around two main targets:
-
TP1, the first profit target;
-
TP2, the second profit target.
This structure allows DANO to secure the trade progressively while leaving part of the position exposed to a possible continuation of the move.
When TP1 is reached
When price reaches the first target, DANO secures the position by moving its protection to break-even.
Break-even corresponds to the trade's entry level. This action significantly reduces the initial risk on the remaining part of the position, subject to spread, slippage, and actual execution conditions.
Progress toward TP2
If the market continues moving favorably after TP1, DANO may secure part of the profit at approximately +0.60R before the second target is reached.
The letter R represents the initial risk of the trade. For example, +0.60R represents a gain equal to 60% of the risk initially accepted.
This protection helps preserve part of the move already completed if price reverses before TP2.
After TP2 is reached
When TP2 is reached, the TP1 level may become the new protective level for the remaining position.
DANO may then continue to secure the profit with enhanced management around +0.75R, depending on price development and the active strategy rules.
The purpose is to allow the trade to continue when a significant move develops while avoiding giving back an unnecessarily large part of the profit already achieved.
Progressive trade protection
DANO's trade management follows a structured sequence:
-
The trade is opened with a defined risk.
-
Market development is monitored.
-
TP1 is reached.
-
Protection is moved to break-even.
-
Profit is progressively secured around +0.60R as price moves toward TP2.
-
TP2 is reached.
-
The TP1 level is used as the new protective level.
-
Profit protection is strengthened around +0.75R.
This management may be adapted by the robot according to observed conditions and the settings of the version in use.
Position duration
DANO is designed for day trading.
A position may last approximately 2 to 17 hours, depending on:
-
the entry time;
-
volatility;
-
the speed of the move;
-
the distance to the targets;
-
price reactions;
-
detected exit conditions.
DANO does not seek to close a position prematurely simply because it has remained open for several hours. It allows the setup time to develop as long as the scenario remains valid.
However, its positions are not intended to remain open for several days. Each trade is closed before the next trading day, in accordance with the strategy's internal rules.
Capital and volume management
DANO is primarily configured for use with starting capital of 10,000 in the account currency.
The volumes currently used may be:
-
0.09 lot;
-
0.10 lot;
-
0.20 lot.
The volume applied depends on the active configuration and DANO's internal rules.
When the account capital reaches or exceeds certain thresholds, particularly above 50,000, DANO may adjust the volume used to take the new account size into consideration.
The stated lot sizes do not guarantee an identical level of risk on every account. Actual risk also depends on:
-
the Stop Loss distance;
-
the contract specifications offered by the broker;
-
leverage;
-
spread;
-
slippage;
-
the account currency;
-
execution conditions.
Users must always verify that the risk level is suitable for their capital and personal risk tolerance.
Why can results vary?
DANO's results may vary from one user to another, even when the same settings are selected.
These differences may be caused by:
-
the broker used;
-
the exact gold symbol offered;
-
spread;
-
commissions;
-
slippage;
-
available liquidity;
-
execution speed;
-
connection quality;
-
server time;
-
account capital;
-
selected settings;
-
market conditions.
DANO does not guarantee a fixed success rate or a specific profit level.
Installation
-
Install DANO on MetaTrader 5.
-
Open the chart corresponding to XAUUSD with your broker.
-
Attach DANO to the chart.
-
Enable algorithmic trading.

Before you begin
It is strongly recommended to test DANO on a demo account before using it on a live account.
This testing period allows you to:
-
check its compatibility with your broker;
-
observe its entry frequency;
-
understand its TP1 and TP2 management;
-
check the volumes used;
-
observe the impact of spread and slippage;
-
determine whether its day trading style matches your expectations;
-
select settings suited to your situation.
A trading robot should not be activated with significant capital before being tested under the actual conditions of the broker concerned.
Important risk information
DANO is an automated trading tool. It does not guarantee any profit and cannot predict every market movement.
Trading XAUUSD may involve high volatility, particularly during economic announcements, sudden changes in liquidity, or rapid movements in the US dollar.
Past results, whether obtained in a backtest, on a demo account, or under specific conditions, do not guarantee future results.
Trading involves the risk of partial or total loss of the capital committed.
Each user remains responsible for:
-
the capital used;
-
the volume applied;
-
the settings selected;
-
the broker chosen;
-
leverage;
-
their level of risk;
-
the use of DANO on a live account.
Always begin with a demo account and only use funds that you can afford to lose.
