EURUSD Market Outlook- 3 Jan 2018

EURUSD have made a reversal in the supply zone (H4 Mean Reversion Supply Demand). At the same time, we have ABCD pattern (H4 Harmonic Pattern Plus) coincide inside the supply zone to confirm our reversal. EURUSD is down by around 60 pips from the supply zone. Having said that, in the renko view (H4 Price breakout pattern scanner), we are still touching the previuos resistance lines though. I mean see the locaiton of the red block in the renko window.

In regards to our last analysis, USDJPY made a good breakout on yesterday. Currently USDJPY made around 60 pips. EURUSD Market Outlook-1 Jan 2018

EURUSD had ended with a bullish for the last week of 2017. In fact EURUSD was rather bullish with around 1500 pips gains in 2017. 1.20 acted as a strong resistance for EURUSD many times. The question is if 1.20 will be acting as the resistance again ? or Will the bullish momentum from last week will penetrate this level further.

Technically speaking 1.20 is indeed strong resistance as you can see from the screenshot. The extension of the previous two peaks ends near the 1.20 (detected using Price Breakout Pattern Scanner + Smart Renko). What to expect for our trading? Any notable penetration can tell immediately that EURUSD will likely continue its momentum because such a level often act as strong reversal indeed. In the case of reversal, we have to watch out if the reversal is purely short term correction against last week or notable bearish movement. Remember that Just like anything else, the movement of first few days in 2018 will be really important to predict for the movement of EURUSD in 2018. Last week, USDJPY made many interesting move. The formation of Doueble Top lead USDJPY to drop around 100 pips. Having said that, the declining of the price was rather moderate for the first half. Harmonic Volatility Indicator VS Market Profile

Now I got many questions from traders, if they can have the Market Profile without developing period. What does it mean by developing period? It means that any Market Profile need to collect intra-market data to build up the statistics like Value area and control point, etc (i.e. repainting each statistics during developing period).

For this reason, we have to use Market Profile while they are developing during intraday. As it gets developed, each statistics can be changed. Obviously many traders does not like this feature of the Market Profile. To avoid the developing period, you can probably use yesterday’s Market Profile but they are lagging. So once again we prove that non repainting indicator is lagging here. If you want to deal with the real time information, repainting is not avoidable in return that you will get earlier warning (or earlier entry) too. So it is fair enough that you get earlier entry in return for hard working.

Depending on what is your purpose with Market Profile, there are some potential that harmonic volatility indicator can be used alternatively to Market Profile. For example, if your purpose of using Market Profile is monitoring the extreme volatility, then Harmonic Volatility Indicator can do the same job without the developing period. Another advanced setup might is that you can use Harmonic Volatility indicator together with Market Profile. So you have one with developing period and the other one without developing period. So there is some rooms for improving your market profile with our Harmonic Volatility Indicator.
