Lot Size Calculator, Risk Manager and Trade Panel for MetaTrader 5

This is the free edition of Lot Architect, a position sizing and trade management utility for MetaTrader 5. It calculates the position size for a chosen risk level and shows the key numbers of a trade before it is placed.

How it works

Set the entry, stop-loss and take-profit levels — by dragging the lines on the chart or by typing the prices — and choose how to define risk: as a percentage of the account, a fixed amount in account currency, or a fixed lot size. The panel calculates the matching volume and shows it together with the required margin, the money at risk (and its share of the account), the result at the target, and the reward-to-risk ratio.

Demo and live use

All calculations work on any account. In this free edition, one-click order placement runs on demo accounts, so the full workflow can be tested. Placing orders on a live account is available in the paid edition.

Getting started

1. Attach the utility to a chart.
2. Choose the direction (Long or Short) and the order type (Market, Limit or Stop).
3. Set the entry, stop-loss and take-profit — drag the lines or type the values.
4. Choose the risk method (percentage, amount or lots) and enter the value.
5. Check the results card, then use the order button on a demo account.

To place orders, enable AutoTrading in the terminal. The calculator itself works without it.

Paid edition

Lot Architect (paid) adds one-click order placement on live accounts, for MetaTrader 5 and MetaTrader 4.
