KS Pattern Recognition Indicator for MetaTrader 5
This indicator automatically identifies classical candlestick and price action patterns on any chart and timeframe.
Detected Candlestick Patterns (enabled via ShowCandlestick = true):
Doji – Neutral pattern indicating market indecision ("Doji")
Bullish Engulfing – Bullish reversal signal ("Bullish Engulfing")
Bearish Engulfing – Bearish reversal signal ("Bearish Engulfing")
Hammer – Bullish reversal, often at potential bottoms ("Hammer")
Shooting Star – Bearish reversal, often at potential tops ("Shooting Star")
Morning Star – Strong bullish reversal pattern ("Morning Star")
Evening Star – Strong bearish reversal pattern ("Evening Star")
Detected Chart Patterns (enabled via ShowChartPat = true):
Head & Shoulders – Bearish reversal ("Head & Shoulders")
Inverse Head & Shoulders – Bullish reversal ("Inv. Head & Shoulders")
Double Top – Bearish reversal ("Double Top")
Double Bottom – Bullish reversal ("Double Bottom")
Bull Flag – Bullish continuation ("Bull Flag")
Symmetrical Triangle – Neutral, potential continuation or breakout in either direction ("Symmetrical Triangle")
Key Features
Scans the most recent bars (default LookbackBars = 100) for efficient performance
Pivot detection uses a configurable SwingStrength (default = 5 bars left/right)
Visual labels appear directly on the chart:
Bullish patterns in DodgerBlue
Bearish patterns in OrangeRed
Neutral patterns in Gold
Labels positioned above (▼) or below (▲) candles with automatic vertical offset to prevent overlap

The indicator includes flexible alerts for newly completed patterns (on bar close):

Email notifications (requires MT5 email settings)
Alerts are triggered only once per pattern by default (AlertOnlyNew = true), with built-in deduplication to avoid duplicates during chart reloads or timeframe switches.
Typical Applications
Reversal detection on higher timeframes (H4, D1) using patterns such as Head & Shoulders, Double Tops/Bottoms, Morning/Evening Stars, Hammer/Shooting Star
Continuation setups on trending markets with Bull Flags and Symmetrical Triangles
Fast candlestick confirmation on lower timeframes (M15–H1) with Engulfing patterns, Doji, etc.
Remote monitoring via mobile push or email alerts
