I develop custom MetaTrader 5 Expert Advisors, indicators, scripts and trading automation tools in MQL5, and I test them properly before you risk money.
DEVELOPMENT
• Custom MT5 Expert Advisors built from your rules
• Indicator-based and session/breakout systems - Versione: 1.3
- Attivazioni: 10
NewsGuard reads the MetaTrader 5 economic calendar and keeps your account flat around high-impact news. A few minutes before a release it closes the positions it manages and deletes their pending orders. Until the news window has passed, it removes any new trade or order that appears, from any Expert Advisor or from manual trading.
It is a protection tool, not a strategy. It never opens trades on a live or demo account.
WHO IT IS FOR
- Prop-firm traders whose account has a news trading rule
- EA users who want their robots out of the market during NFP, CPI, rate decisions and similar releases
- Anyone who wants a hard "no trading around news" rule that does not depend on discipline
HOW IT WORKS
1. Choose which news counts: high impact only, or high and medium impact. Optionally limit it to keywords such as Nonfarm, CPI, FOMC.
2. Choose the currencies, or leave AUTO: NewsGuard reads the currencies of the symbols you trade (XAUUSD and US indices react to USD news, EURUSD to EUR and USD news, and so on).
3. Set how many minutes before the release it acts and how many minutes after it stays flat.
4. Attach it to one chart. It watches the whole account (or one symbol, or one magic number).
MAIN FEATURES
- Uses the built-in MT5 economic calendar, no web requests and no extra setup
- Detects automatically whether your terminal's calendar uses server time or GMT (some terminals return GMT), with a manual override
- Closes positions before the window (or keeps positions opened earlier, your choice) and deletes pending orders
- Removes new trades and orders opened during the window, at once
- Acts only on symbols that use the news currency (optional): on US news it closes XAUUSD but leaves EURGBP alone
- Scope: all trades on the account, only the chart symbol, or one magic number
- Heads-up alert and push notification before it acts, plus alerts at the start and end of each window
- On-chart panel: CLEAR / NEWS WINDOW with countdown, the next three events in server time (up to 4 days ahead), managed positions and orders, last action
- Clear warning when the calendar has no data in the terminal, instead of a false "clear"
INPUTS
Importance, currencies (AUTO or list), keywords, minutes before, minutes after, scope and magic number, affected symbols only, positions (close or keep), delete pending orders, remove new trades during the window, alert minutes, pop-up and push alerts, panel position and font size, calendar time base (auto, server, GMT), slippage.
IMPORTANT
- NewsGuard can only act while MetaTrader is running and connected. Use a VPS for 24/5 protection.
- Set "minutes before" with a safety margin above your firm's rule. Closing a trade is itself an execution, so NewsGuard is designed to act before the restricted window starts.
- Stop-loss and take-profit orders sit on the broker's server. If you choose to keep positions through the news, they can still be triggered during the release.
- NewsGuard removes trades that other programs open during the window, but it cannot stop them from sending the order in the first place.
- Each firm defines its own news rules and event list. Check yours and set the inputs to match.
STRATEGY TESTER
The economic calendar is not available in the Strategy Tester. There, NewsGuard creates a demo news event at 15:30 each weekday and opens a small demo trade, so you can watch it close the trade at 15:25 and report "news window over" at 15:35. This never happens on a live or demo account.
