You set the rules. Iron Risk Guard makes sure you follow them.
Most accounts are not blown by bad strategies. They are blown by one bad day: revenge trades, no stop loss, "just one more". Iron Risk Guard sits on your chart and enforces the rules you set when you were calm.
It never opens trades. It watches every position on the account and closes, within about a second, any trade that breaks your rules — then tells you why.
What it enforces
- Daily loss cap (% or $) – hit it and every trade is closed and pending orders deleted; no new trades until the new day.
- Weekly loss cap (% or $) – hit it and everything is closed until the new week.
- Losses in a row – after X losses, the day is over: any new trade is closed (trades already open are left alone). Small losses inside a breakeven zone don't count.
- Pause after a loss – a cooldown with a countdown; trades opened during it are closed.
- Stop loss required – every trade needs a stop loss within a grace time you choose.
- Max trades per day and max open trades.
- Max lot size per trade.
- Trading hours – trades opened outside your hours are closed.
- Allowed symbols only – with a typo check ("Did you mean XAUUSD?").
- Friday close – close everything before the weekend.
- Prop firm protection (optional) – keeps a buffer above a firm's daily and max loss lines and closes everything before the account fails. Shows "Firm room" on the panel.
Locks stay in place
- Locks survive a platform restart.
- Changing the "new day" time after a lock does not unlock it.
- Algo Trading off? The panel shows NOT ACTIVE in plain words.
Clear panel
- Status (ARMED / DAY OVER / COOLDOWN), today's and this week's result against your caps, countdowns.
- Every line can go left, right or be hidden; colour, size and spacing are adjustable – works next to one-click trading.
- Popup and phone push alerts for every close, with the reason.
Every money setting accepts % or $ – fill one, or both and the stricter one is used. 0 = off.
Works with any broker and symbol, manual trades and trades from other EAs.
Strategy Tester: in a backtest the guardian opens small demo trades with no stop loss and closes them, so you can see it work. This never happens on a live or demo account.

Important
- MT5 must be running with Algo Trading on (a VPS is recommended).
- Tested on hedging accounts.
- Closes are market orders. On fast moves or gaps a loss can go slightly past a limit – set prop firm buffers with that in mind.
- It is a discipline tool, not a strategy, and does not guarantee profits.
