Brent Precision Pro
Brent Precision Pro is an Expert Advisor for MetaTrader 5 designed for Brent oil style CFD symbols. It uses intraday price-action rules to identify selected reversal and break-retest situations.
The EA is intended for traders who want an automated strategy with defined stop-loss handling, configurable risk settings and broker time adjustment. It should be tested on each broker symbol before live use.
Strategy logic
The EA evaluates market structure during predefined intraday trading windows. It looks for three types of trading situations:
- Downside liquidity move followed by a bullish reclaim.
- Upside liquidity move followed by a bearish reclaim.
- Range break followed by a retest before continuation.
The EA does not use grid, martingale or averaging down. Trades opened by the EA are managed with stop-loss logic according to the internal strategy settings.
Version 1.3
Version 1.3 adds the Daily Start Balance mode.
When this mode is enabled, the EA reads the account balance at the beginning of each broker day and uses it as the balance reference for that day. Position sizing and internal protection values are then calculated from this daily reference instead of the manually entered Initial Balance value.
The fixed Initial Balance mode remains available for repeatable backtests, fixed reference settings and direct comparison between different broker data sets.
Main settings
- Initial Balance - fixed balance reference used when Daily Start Balance mode is disabled.
- Use Daily Start Balance - uses the account balance at the beginning of the broker day as the daily balance reference.
- Risk - main exposure multiplier for position sizing and internal protection values.
- Time Shift Minutes - shifts the internal trading windows according to broker server time.
- Magic Base - base magic number used by the EA to identify its positions.
- Write Log Files - optional CSV diagnostic logging.
Balance reference
The EA can work with two balance reference modes.
- Fixed Initial Balance - useful for controlled backtests and fixed reference settings.
- Daily Start Balance - useful when the trader wants the daily sizing reference to follow the account balance from the start of each broker day.
Before comparing results, make sure that the same balance mode, risk value, symbol settings and broker data are used.
Risk setting
The Risk input controls the main exposure level. Risk = 1.00 is the base profile. Lower values reduce exposure, while higher values increase exposure.
For first tests, it is recommended to start with Risk = 1.00 or lower. Increase the value only after testing the EA on your broker data and after understanding how the strategy behaves.
Suggested symbols
The EA is designed for Brent oil style CFD symbols. The exact symbol name depends on the broker. Common examples include:
- UKOIL
- UKOIL.cash
- BRENT
- Brent
- XBRUSD
Always test the EA on your broker's own symbol before live trading. Contract size, tick value, minimum volume, spread, commission, swap and server time can differ between brokers.
Time Shift Minutes
Some brokers use different server times. The Time Shift Minutes parameter allows the internal trading windows to be shifted.
- 0 - default timing.
- +60 - trading windows are shifted one hour later.
- -60 - trading windows are shifted one hour earlier.
- +120 - trading windows are shifted two hours later.
- -120 - trading windows are shifted two hours earlier.
Recommended use

- Run a backtest on your broker data first.
