PhaseShelfBreak Gold is a rule-based Expert Advisor for GOLD (XAUUSD) on M15.
The system is built around a shelf-breakout concept. It identifies a shelf-like consolidation phase, waits for breakout acceptance, and then manages entry, stop, target, and exits according to fixed rules.
This product is intended for traders who prefer a mechanical breakout approach, transparent benchmark conditions, and a non-martingale, non-grid structure.
Designed for
- Structured breakout trading on GOLD / XAUUSD
- Rule-based operation instead of discretionary decision-making
- Users who prefer transparent public benchmark conditions
- Users who want a non-martingale, non-grid product
Not designed for
- Not a martingale system
- Not a grid system
- Not a neural-network or AI product
- Not a multi-symbol EA
- Not a profit guarantee
Main characteristics
- Rule-based shelf-breakout logic
- Focused on GOLD / XAUUSD
- M15 execution
- Defined entry, stop, target, and position-management structure
- Designed for transparent public evaluation
Position structure and exits
- The default structure allows up to 4 total positions
- Entries are distributed across structured opportunities and are not based on martingale or grid behavior
- Position management includes partial reduction, break-even protection, target-based exit, and timed exit
- By default, part of the position is reduced after the trade reaches an initial profit threshold
- Break-even protection is applied after sufficient progress, and the target can be extended when conditions remain supportive
- If the trade does not resolve within the intended holding window, a time-based exit is used

Benchmark and evaluation
- The main public benchmark is based on XM Real Tick for 2022.01.01 - 2026.03.31
- Main supporting evaluation is based on 1/2 walk-forward testing
- Longer-period material from 2018 onward may also be presented separately as transparency support using all-ticks data
- The purpose is not visual exaggeration, but a clearer and more practical public evaluation standard
Standard and ECN validation
- Benchmark evidence is presented for both XM Standard and XM Zero / ECN conditions
- This allows users to review the product under both standard-account and lower-cost ECN-style environments
Tested and presentation environments
- XM Standard Real Tick
- XM Zero / ECN Real Tick
- Additional long-period and cross-broker material may be shown separately as transparency support
Recommended operating environment
- Symbol: GOLD / XAUUSD
- Timeframe: M15
- Account Type: Hedging
- A USD account is preferred for easier comparison with the published benchmark conditions
- Stable and low-cost execution environments are preferred
Starting reference
- For most users, a practical starting point is 3000 USD with fixed lot 0.10
- If using a smaller account, lower the lot size before making other adjustments
- For initial use, it is better to stay at or below the published benchmark exposure
Quick start
- Attach the EA to GOLD / XAUUSD
- Use the M15 timeframe
- Start with the original default settings
- For first evaluation, use the published benchmark conditions as your initial reference
- Run a Strategy Tester check first, then use demo before live operation
Default trading schedule
The default schedule filter is intentionally selective.
It is designed to avoid some lower-priority trading windows and reduce participation during periods that tend to be less consistent under the original product structure. This means that no-trade behavior on certain weekdays or server-time windows can be normal and is part of the default design, not a malfunction.
In the default configuration, trading is enabled on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, while Tuesday is excluded.
The default no-trade windows are 12:00 - 16:00 and the 20:00 server hour.
Schedule logic is based on broker / server time, so visible trading hours may vary slightly across brokers.
Setup guidance
- Start with the default product structure
- If you want lighter or heavier exposure, adjust lot size first
- Do not aggressively change internal logic parameters before understanding how the system behaves
- Use benchmark-style conditions first, and then decide whether customization is necessary
For first use
- Do not optimize too many inputs before understanding the baseline behavior
- Keep your first evaluation simple: default structure, M15, GOLD, benchmark-style lot conditions
- Judge the product by consistency and structure, not by isolated short-term results
Suitable users
PhaseShelfBreak Gold is suitable for traders who want a disciplined, mechanical breakout approach for GOLD and prefer transparent benchmark evidence, structured logic, and straightforward setup.
Important notes
- All trading involves risk
- Market conditions change over time
- Please test the product in Strategy Tester and demo before live use
- Best results are usually obtained by understanding the original design first, instead of over-adjusting it immediately
