MACD Classic Global

Description

A colored universal indicator MACD Classic (MA convergence-divergence indicator) that combines two indicators: MACD Line and MACD Histo. The rising and falling lines, the signal line and the indicator histogram can be colored.

The indicator can be calculated as the standard one on the basis of a price or as a derivative on the basis of the following twelve other indicators included in the standard package of the MetaTrader 4 terminal:

  1. AD - an indicator of accumulation and distribution of volume.
  2. OBV - On Balance Volume.
  3. Volume - tick volume indicator.
  4. Force - Force Index indicator.
  5. MFI - Money Flow Index.
  6. ATR - Average True Range.
  7. Momentum.
  8. RSI - Relative Strength Index.
  9. Moving Average.
  10. CCI - Commodity Channel Index.
  11. ADX - Average Directional Movement indicator.
  12. DeMarker.
  13. Standard Deviation.

Price is used by default.


Purpose

The indicator can be used for manual or automated trading in an Expert Advisor. Values of indicator buffer of the double type can be used for automated trading: 

  1. The main line of the indicator - buffer 6.
  2. The signal line of the indicator - buffer 4.
  3. The bullish line of the indicator - buffer 0, must not be equal to 0.
  4. The bearish line of the indicator - buffer 1, must not be equal to zero.
  5. The main line of the histogram - buffer 7.
  6. The bullish line of the histogram - buffer 2, must not be equal to 0.
  7. The bearish line of the histogram - buffer 3, must not be equal to zero.


Inputs

  1. Calc_Method - the index of the indicator, based on which the MACD Line and MACD Histo will be calculated (from 0 to 12). By default, i.e. more than 12 - the standard one based on prices.
  2. Periods - the period for calculating the basic indicator, based on which MACD Line and MACD Histo will be calculated.
  3. FastMA - the period of the fast moving average.
  4. SlowMA - the period of the slow moving average.
  5. SignalMA - the period of the signal line.
  6. MA_Method - averaging method for the MA of the basic and/or calculated indicator:
    1. MODE_SMA - 0.
    2. MODE_EMA - 1.
    3. MODE_SMMA - 2.
    4. MODE_LWMA - 3.
  7. 7. Signal_Method - The averaging method of the signal line:
    1. MODE_SMA - 0.
    2. MODE_EMA - 1.
