EL BARRIDO — The Institutional Liquidity Sweep Engine Built for Iberian Traders
What El Barrido Is
El Barrido is a premium MetaTrader 5 Expert Advisor engineered specifically for Spanish, Portuguese, and Southern European retail traders who operate in the London Open window. It is not a generic forex robot recycled from a template farm. It is a precision instrument built around one of the most repeatable structural behaviors in the EUR/USD, GBP/USD, and EUR/GBP markets: the Asian Range Liquidity Sweep, commonly known in institutional trading circles as the Judas Swing.
Every trading day, between the close of the Asian session and the first two hours of the London Open, price makes a deliberate move beyond the established Asian range high or low. This move is not random. It is engineered to trigger retail stop-loss clusters, fill institutional orders, and create the liquidity that smart money needs to position for the real move of the day. Approximately seventy percent of trading days exhibit this behavior. El Barrido identifies it, waits for confirmation, and enters on the reversal — the exact moment retail traders are being stopped out.
The Strategy Behind the Engine
El Barrido operates on a strict, rule-based state machine that mirrors how institutional desks actually read the London Open:
Phase One — Asian Range Definition. Between 00:00 and 07:00 GMT, the EA maps the high and low of the Asian session. This becomes the reference range for the entire trading day.
Phase Two — Daily Bias Determination. Using H1 EMA structure and price positioning, El Barrido establishes whether the day carries bullish or bearish intent. This prevents counter-trend entries and filters out low-probability setups.
Phase Three — Liquidity Sweep Detection. Between 07:00 and 10:00 GMT, the EA monitors for price to spike beyond the Asian range high or low by a configurable minimum — typically fifteen to fifty-five pips. This spike is the liquidity grab. The EA does not chase it.
Phase Four — Displacement Confirmation. After the sweep, El Barrido waits for a displacement candle — a candle whose body exceeds 1.2 times the current ATR — closing in the opposite direction of the sweep. This confirms that smart money has absorbed the liquidity and is now pushing price in the true direction of the day.
Phase Five — Entry Execution. The EA enters on the close of the displacement candle, aligned with the daily bias. Stop loss is dynamic, calculated at 1.5 times ATR from entry. Take profit is structured in two parts: a partial close at 1:2 risk-reward, and a runner targeting the opposite extreme of the Asian range at approximately 1:3.5 risk-reward.
This is the same sequence institutional traders use. El Barrido simply automates it with discipline that no human trader can maintain under emotional pressure.
The Risk Engine — Built for the Spanish Trading Psyche
This is where El Barrido separates itself from every other EA on the market. The risk management architecture was not designed in a vacuum. It was built around documented behavioral data on Spanish retail traders.
Research from the CNMV, eToro's Retail Investor Beat, and Revolut's Spanish investor reports shows that forty-six percent of Spanish traders cite fear of loss as their dominant emotion — three points above the global average. Ninety percent admit that emotional factors influence their decisions. Fifty-five percent become more reflective after experiencing losses. The average CFD loss in Spain is three thousand three hundred euros, and seventy-five percent of CFD traders lose money.
El Barrido was engineered to protect against exactly this behavioral pattern:
The Drawdown Ladder. At five percent drawdown, risk per trade is halved. At ten percent, it is quartered. At fifteen percent, trading halts entirely for the session. This graduated response prevents the emotional spiral that forces traders into revenge positions.
Recovery Mode. After two consecutive losses, El Barrido automatically reduces risk per trade to half of normal for the next three trades. This directly addresses the fifty-five percent of Spanish traders who become more reflective — and therefore more prone to hesitation or overcorrection — after losses.
Daily Loss Circuit Breaker. If the account reaches a five percent daily loss, El Barrido stops trading for the remainder of the day. No revenge trades. No tilt. The EA simply closes the session and waits for tomorrow.
Floating Loss Reduction. If open positions reach three percent floating loss, the next trade is automatically sized at half risk. This prevents compounding exposure during adverse market conditions.
Correlation Guard. Maximum one position per currency bloc. No doubling up on EUR exposure. No hidden correlation risk.
Time-Based Stop. Any position still open after four hours is closed. No overnight exposure. No Asian session drift.
Every one of these rules exists because the behavioral data demanded it. El Barrido does not just trade. It protects.
Artificial Intelligence — The SARSA-FIS Filter
El Barrido includes an optional AI layer that learns from every trade it takes. The system uses a SARSA reinforcement learning algorithm combined with a Fuzzy Inference System scoring layer.
The AI evaluates five factors before approving any trade:
The tightness of the Asian range. A tight range often precedes a stronger reversal. The strength of the sweep — how many pips beyond the range price traveled. The displacement ratio — how convincingly the reversal candle closed. The alignment with daily bias. The current volatility regime measured through ATR expansion or contraction.
The AI does not activate until the EA has completed fifty live trades. Before that point, El Barrido operates on pure rule-based logic. After two hundred trades, the AI reaches full influence and continuously refines its state-action values to favor setups that historically produced the best outcomes.
This is not a black box. The AI score is displayed on the HUD dashboard in real time. You always know why a trade was taken or rejected.
The HUD Dashboard — Total Transparency
Spanish traders are fear-driven. They need to see what is happening. El Barrido delivers a complete real-time dashboard on the chart showing:
Current session status — Asian, London Open, London, NY Overlap, or Closed. Current setup state — from idle to sweep detected to displacement confirmed to trade executed. Daily bias direction and strength. The Asian range high, low, and pip width. Sweep details including price and pip distance beyond the range. Displacement confirmation with body-to-ATR ratio. Daily loss versus limit. Total drawdown versus maximum. Current risk per trade. Recovery mode status. Trades taken today versus maximum allowed. AI activation status and current epsilon value. Real-time AI score for the pending setup. Account balance, equity, and free margin.
Every element is color-coded. Green means healthy. Yellow means caution. Red means protection is active. The trader never has to guess what the EA is doing.
Country Presets — Built for Every Iberian Market
El Barrido ships with six calibrated country presets, each tuned to the documented behavioral profile of that market:
Spain — Conservative risk at 0.75 percent per trade. Maximum daily loss of five percent. Aggressive drawdown protection. Maximum three trades per day. This is the default preset and reflects the fear-dominant profile of Spanish retail.
Portugal — Identical to Spain in risk structure, calibrated for the growing Portuguese retail market that reached record volumes in 2025.
France — Slightly relaxed protection at 0.75 percent risk and six percent daily loss. Designed for the French market that grew twenty-one percent in active retail investors during 2025.
Italy — Higher risk tolerance at one percent per trade and seven percent daily loss. Italian traders show the highest fear-of-loss response in Europe but paradoxically take larger positions. The preset accommodates this duality with volatility-triggered reductions.
United Kingdom — Standard one percent risk and six percent daily loss. UK traders are the most disciplined in Europe, closing twenty-nine percent of accounts in profit. The preset respects that discipline without over-protecting.
Germany — Most conservative preset at 0.5 percent risk, four percent daily loss, and maximum two trades per day. German retail traders follow disciplined passive strategies and prefer minimal leverage.
Prop Firm Compliance
El Barrido includes a stealth mode designed for prop firm challenges. When enabled, all order comments are reduced to two characters to avoid manual review triggers. Daily loss limits align with FTMO, MyForexFunds, and E8 challenge rules. The EA can be configured to automatically halt trading when approaching any challenge threshold.

What El Barrido Is Not
It is not a guarantee of profit. No trading system is. It is not a get-rich-quick robot. It is not a black box that hides its logic. It is not a generic template with a Spanish name slapped on top. It is a disciplined, transparent, behaviorally calibrated institutional strategy engine designed for traders who understand that surviving the market is the first step to outperforming it.
The Positioning
El Barrido costs eight hundred ninety-nine euros. For that price you receive the compiled EA, full source code access, six country preset files, a comprehensive Spanish-language user manual, video tutorials in Spanish, and thirty days of email support.
The average Spanish CFD trader loses three thousand three hundred euros. El Barrido costs less than a third of that. It exists to prevent that loss from happening in the first place.
