We all know the moment: the backtest is running at 3%, the optimizer has 400 passes to go, or NFP is in 12 minutes and you're just staring at a flat chart, trying not to click anything.
So I made something for those minutes: Candle Snake, a small Snake game that runs right on an MT5 chart.
- Eat green candles to grow your "equity", grab the golden ones for 5x pips before they expire
- Dodge the bear candles; they multiply as volatility rises
- From level 4 a bear market starts hunting you across the board
- "High-impact news" events (NFP, CPI, FOMC) spike the speed and double your pips if you survive
- Combos up to x5, a live equity curve, and a trade journal after every run
- Your top-5 leaderboard is saved
It places no trades, sends no orders and uses no DLLs. Remove it and your chart is back exactly as it was. It's free.

Any optimizer can find a beautiful curve in the past. The real question is whether it holds up. This post explains the scientific approach behind the What-if Simulator and the Sizing Optimizer in Strategy Ledger Pro:
✔ What-if first replays your real result to the cent, then changes only the size
✔ The optimizer chooses on the past and judges on a part of your history it never saw
✔ It looks for flat ground, not a lone peak
✔ A result must beat your own sizing at the same drawdown, or it doesn't count
✔ We tested the tester on random histories with no real edge: false alarms stayed at 1.8% and 2.3%, against a 10% limit
