Orders for indicators development - closed

I'm running into a little issue with the RATIO TP AND SL. I'm guessing that the SL and TP may be to close to the price sometimes when the order in placed. So it'll go on with the trade in until I manually close it. Is it possible that if that happens where the TP or SL doesn't get activated, that a backup SL and TP by pips or $ amount is activated instead? Doesn't have to be hidden just a backup feature incase the
