In my EA i have a block of code within the OnTick area and I need it to only run when a trade closes, instead of every tick. Currently I am using OrderCloseTime() and can get a new number when a trade closes, but as said the code block is running every tick, but it only needs to run once, when a trade closes. I'd like a very simple EA which automatically sets TP and SL for each new trade opened at the time the trade is opened. All trades are opened manually. This is mainly for scalp trading. Typical TP will be 10 pips. The way I see it working is that when I manually open a trade, the settings in the EA will apply to that trade to set a TP and a SL. Simple as that.
