Points VS Pips - page 138

It's a zoo anyway...

Andrey F. Zelinsky:

Not a count, but a prince.

In general, I didn't regret the 45 minutes of watching it - it was like being born again :)

Artyom Trishkin:
Just for the sake of interest read the post above yours. There the same guru there by pips means something else. Mixing people up, horses... You'd better agree among yourselves first, and then demand to change the basic MQL values, which are not the slang of all gurus, but the exact documented notation.
There is no need to shame me - my knowledge is enough to manufacture any fancy from any guru. But you gentlemen, even in your own circles, do not agree on the designations.

For the sake of clarity: I'mnot replacing the basic MQL values, you're not reading carefully either. It's about what is, what is not, and what can be fixed.

Pips - there is. Do you need it in MT? No, because now it is a forex gimmick, and the kitchens allow you to trade also commodes and indices. You only need a pip and a tick.

Ticks as an addition may be displayed for instruments where the tick is not equal to a point. Although this is probably unnecessary.

It is just the pips which have crept into the English localization that can and should be fixed. Also it would be useful to fix the standard library, which takes 2\4 values for stops, tees, indents and trails, reducing them within itself to 3\5 characters. This library is now unusable for anything other than forex.

you are blatantly making this up -- there is no such thing in the standard library -- or provide a specific link to a library function.

there is an author in the codebase who publishes daily EAs with such conversion -- but this is nothing more than his private vision -- it is not a bug -- and it is not necessary to take it as an example.

The best documentation for any library is its source code.

Your example has nothing to do with the standard library.

Do you understand what is related to a standard library?https://www.mql5.com/ru/docs/standardlibrary

What you're referring to is a code base of examples by various authors -- they have nothing to do with the standard library -- only the author is responsible for correctness, correctness and so on

Everyone has their own standards and their own libraries...))))

You don't have to show your ignorance with such aplomb. It's about https://www.mql5.com/ru/docs/standardlibrary/expertclasses

Initialise the familiar multiplier in CExpert::Init. The rest is up to you.

Andrey F. Zelinsky:

"pip" -- an abbreviation for "percentage in point" -- is the word "point" confusing here? -- we're talking specifically about a currency point here (this one, shown in colour).

another one came out.

here we are talking about the basis point, which is always the same.
