Here's an interesting Chinese joke, because it's political and about characters. And it's supposed to be understood (and laughed at) even by someone who doesn't know Chinese at all.
The author has abridged it a bit - a couple more characters were used, but not so much for the theme, but rather turning the joke into a nerd.
An introduction for those who do not know Chinese:
The character 人 means "person". It's graphic enough, isn't it?
众 - graphically it's "three people", meaning "community, group of people".
从 - graphically it's "two people", meaning "to follow someone, something"
合 - made up of the parts 人 (person), - (one) and 口 (mouth) - each of which is very graphic, isn't it? One of the main meanings of the character is "together, together".
The expression - (one) 口 (mouth) in Chinese has two meanings, both of which make perfect sense to us: 1) one sip or what fits in the mouth in one bite; 2) unanimously, in one voice, in unison.
